Back when they made the movie, making-of videos were shot on video - Beta and DigiBeta. Only after DV came out did they shot in widescreen but still at NTSC or PAL resolution. At the time, prosumer HD cameras were not available.

With the advent of BD, more studios and more people will have access to prosumer HD cameras to shoot making-of videos in HD. Then it's just a matter of time that these videos make it to us on BD.

Rumor has it that Superman Returns' making-of videos were in HD. But why they are only in 480p, I could only guess.

Um, 'cause they had to fit within the 30GB confines of another format?
The same format that claims it has enough space for anything?

Oh wow. This is an ingenious case. You know the locking thing I talked about? Well, if you open the case and fold the locking hinge down inside it clicks and locks. So now the case is like a regular BD case. No more lock. Damn thats nifty. Unlike those dvd cases that had the other annoying locks.

I think you and I mailed out the old version around the same time, like when the information became available and I've still not received mine. I did however recieve an email from customer service telling me that they JUST started shipping them out on 7/20 (yeah right), how did you get yours so soon..??

Just got my copy delivered to me via DHL Express today. I registered via the website and got confirmation back with-in 24 hours and got my disk a week later.

Yes, the address is: consumer@sphe@customersupport.sony.com. Write them, they will confirm with you the address to mail in your old disk, they only ask for the disk, not the package. I sent mine in and with-in a week I have the new one. Watched it last night and it looks great!

I picked up the Fifth Element (remastered) yesterday.

Be warned - there is practically nothing to distinguish the remastered version from the terrible one, and they sit on shelves side by side. Confirm your choice by using the UPC code.

UPC for the old version: 043396153523

UPC for the remastered edition: 043396215207

Its easier to look on the back for the audio options. Remastered version has Dolby TrueHd, the old one doesn't.

I knew about the email address just was trying to clarify what you meant by web site. Anyways I sent my copy in 7/13 and just received the new remastered version in the mail today.

Mine showed up today too. I sent mine in a month or two ago if i remember correctly. Glad that they were able to push these out to us so quick. Color me impressed.

i just got my copy of t5e remastered and my new onkyo tx-sr605. i'm watching it right now with my old receiver, then i'm gonna hook up the new one and watch it again. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I got my remastered copy yesterday also. Very much improved overall from the original BD disc.

Also, you can set up you're signature with all you're equipment BD's etc.. "as above" so you don't have to type it every time.
