But in seriousness, i voted for Christopher Lee - Count Dooku - because only Lee seemed to know what kind of shit movie he was in, and he played to the thin-ness of the story perfectly.

Being a HUGE star wars fan, I had to give this alot of thought. But for me, hands down it was Ray Park. The guy only had a couple lines of dialogue but still portrayed the character perfectly. Even when he didn't speak he still stole the scene.

Ewan benefits from a lot of screen time - Christopher Lee may be the actor that is the most talented, though - at least career-wise.

Everyone feels like a stiff board in the prequels except Neeson who brought some much needed warmth and humanity to Qui Gon Jinn.

Ian McDiarmid, by far. His is the only truly good performance in those movies.

I think McGregor delivers that awful dialogue the best.

Yes. How is Neeson not in the poll? He's probably the best actor involved in those movies in general.

I was about to vote for Neeson and was disappointed that he wasn't an option. Qui Gon felt more star warsy than the other characters, including the ones that are from the original trilogy.

Awful dialogue? Pft. Watch the prequels much?

“I’ve been wondering… what are midi-chlorians?”

“Yousa thinking yousa people ganna die?”

“I have the POWER! UNLIMITED… POWER!”

“There was no father. I carried him, I gave birth, I raised him. I can’t explain what happened.”

Life changing quotes there.

You guys left out Frank Oz. You know, the only one from the prequels who is also in the new trilogy....

That’s not true — Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Warwick Davis also share the distinction of being in all three trilogies (did I miss any others?). You could also technically count Ian McDiarmid too because of the archival audio in Rey’s Force vision in TFA.

But Frank Oz is great, of course.

Ian McDiarmid, I guess. Not because the others are bad (far from it), but he had the most to work with and his role required it more. Liam Neeson, Christopher Lee and Pernilla August gave excellent performances too.

Voted Ray Park for shits and giggles, because I love DM.

But MVP of the prequels is Ian McDiarmid, imo.
