The reason i upgraded to BD was because i bought a big flat screen for myself 2 days before my b-day in 2009 and hated that alot of the DVDs were poor quality so january last year i got a BD player and the first movie i bought was Brokeback Mountain.

First blu steelbook was District 9. Think I have 12 at present, have Akira and Source Code pre-ordered. All in all steelbooks are a nice premium presentation of a film.
The thing I don't understand is when people say ALL I'm collecting from now is steelbooks. Surely that defeats the object of loving the films themselves? I only buy steelbooks if they happen to be available for films I would otherwise buy anyway. I won't buy for the sake, dire films like Wolfman ect shouldn't be touched regardless of packaging. But each to their own if you've money to burn... |
