Is there anyone from US that pre-ordered Metropolis from amazon.co.uk and is planning to open it to watch or whatsoever, though it's region B... can confirm by testing it on US PS3 if it plays? Greatly appreciated, thanks. I really, really want to get this.

It's still approx. 2 months before it's out?

Hm... it's a nice looking Steelbook, that's for sure. Is this the same cut that Kino will be releasing on BD in November, though? The runtime of this steelbook is 150m, while Kino's is listed at 153m. When it comes to this movie, I want the most complete cut possible; Steelbook is secondary.

It's the exact same version time-wise and otherwise.

The difference of 3 minutes in time is due to the fact that the frame speed/rate in the UK/Europe is 25 fps while in the US/NA it's 24 fps.

hm; figured that's what it probably would be if they were the same cuts. Surprised they still bother with the different framerates, though, tbh. The transititon to digital telelvision and HD formats would've been an ideal time to drop the BS.

I figure that if the UK buyers have already received their T-shirts this past week, then we folks here in the US should get ours sometime this week.

So Im probably going to order this off of Amazon UK

What is their reputation in terms of shipping Steelbooks? Am I just asking to get a dented one, or are they usually shipped safely?

You might get a dented one but they'll send you a replacement if you tell them it is damaged.

I live in France and just received my T shirt though I told Eureka to keep the T shirt and price match Amazon.uk. They did price match Amazon but sent me the Tshirt anyway

I've just been able to pick mine up, after it arrive on Thursday, and when I opened it up it looked a too big, but then I put it on and it was perfect.
Now I'm just anxiously waiting for the Blu-ray Steelbook.
