Can anyone chime in regarding the Region of the Umbrella Entertainment version?

This version can be found Dirt cheap but I want to ensure it's Region A Compatible before purchasing. The Seller I'm looking at has it listed as All Region.

Not a good option if you cant play 25fps 50i content. The disc is chock full.

Yep for sure. The timing of that announcement was uncanny. That was an easy decision to wait once I saw what was in the Severin release. I'll be pre-ordering it next pay day.

Thanks for the info! I wondered at the time if that wouldn't be the case, but since I couldn't find any info on that particular release at all I wasn't sure. I'm going to grab the deluxe edition now anyways though so it's a non-issue.

Default Dr butcher / zombie holocaust double feature question.

I read the deacription of this double feature, is zombie holocaust on this the same as the normally titled "zombie"? Because they sound almost the same with the dr on the island and natives turning to zombies

Nope, they were just shot on the same sets with Ian McCulloch starring in both.

Sounds is it different enough to be worth watching?

Im only really interested because it's a double feature, but if it's the same movie then I'm not interested

It's a different movie. Like, not a different edit, but a different movie. Doctor Butcher, MD is the American edit of Zombi Holocaust, so those are different versions of the same movie, but neither of those movies are Lucio Fulci's Zombie/Zombi 2/Zombie Flesh Eaters.

Oh, wait...

(Media Blasters top, 88 Films bottom)

Mind, these are taken from Facebook and heavily compressed, but at least the color and grain are there, making it much more filmic and pleasant than the mudslide diarrhea MB presentation.
Caps-A-Holic now has the DR BUTCHER BD for comparison as well. Might have to upgrade my MB...
