So...is it too early to start arguing about when the release date of the blu ray will be?

I don't see where everyone concerned flat-out says he IS doing the next TERMINATOR movie

Either way, really? They're going (again ) with Arnold, at 60+ years old, plastic surgery & of course, not a Speck of GRAY Hair on his head, it isn't hiding the fact that he's Much OLDER these days. for me.

Default Lin Says Ending of Fast Six Already Done

Quote:
The following quote comes from an interview Lin did with Box Office Magazine. If you head over there, you can read what Lin had to say about the major reveal in the credits of Fast Five, how long they had it planned and more. We’re going to focus on the next film though and here’s what he had to say about that:

Quote:
My whole thing is about respecting the audience and respecting the evolution of these characters—and they’ve grown and now the family is back together. And in many ways, some of the big pieces of Fast Six have already been discussed: I already have a 12-minute sequence done. I did it just as an exercise. I had it done before we were finished with Fast Five, actually. So I wanted to do that just to have it there and to be honest with you, I didn’t know if I was going to do a Fast Six. I didn’t know if people were going to embrace Fast Five and we were going to have an opportunity. But I felt like I really wanted to make sure that the last scene, which I had talked to Vin about countless times—I wanted to make sure that was done. So actually I boarded it, I pre-vised it, and I cut it. So it’s funny, when we were in Atlanta shooting it, I already had the end sequence to Fast Six done. And that was what I wanted to work towards.

Now I’m talking to Chris [Morgan, the writer of the last three films], we’re talking to everybody, and I’m re-engaging, but it’s cool because it’s not about, “Hey, people want to see another one-what are we going to do?” Now it’s like, “wow, people want to see another one-and we have a plan.” So it’s been a really great. I’ve just been sitting down with Chris and we’re getting together later today, and it’s much more fun when you kind of know where you’re going to go. That kind of discourse is something I enjoy much more than, “Oh my God—what are we going to do?” So I think in a way, it’s a perfect relationship of the audience embracing it and wanting another one-and us being prepared that if that happens, we know where to go.

Rumor: Jason Statham May Join ‘Fast Five’ Sequel, Next Two Installments to Shoot Back-to-Back

For their latest installment, Fast Five, The Fast and the Furious franchise brought back a slew of actors from previous films including Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, and then added a huge action star in the form of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Now the next film in the series may expand the family by one more, and no, I’m not talking about Walker and Jordana Brewster‘s unnecessary subplot baby.

A rumor has surfaced that The Transporter star Jason Statham is in very early talks to board the franchise. The same report also suggests that if Statham does sign on, he may be getting to work sooner rather than earlier, as the next two installments in the series (tentatively titled Fast Six and Fast Seven) may shoot back to back throughout next year.

The news comes from an anonymous source who spoke with Twitch, and as with all stories that come from anonymous sources it’s best to take it with a grain of salt. According to their story, Statham has entered into “preliminary conversations” to consider one or both of the next two Fast and the Furious films, though he’s still “far from a sure thing” at this point. Statham, of course, has himself starred as a badass driver as the Transporter trilogy’s Frank Martin — he seems like a perfect addition to the cast.

The source also revealed that Universal Pictures may be looking to shoot the next two pictures back-to-back in Europe through most of 2012, which lines up with an earlier report that director Justin Lin had to drop out of Terminator 5 due to a scheduling conflict with his commitment to The Fast and the Furious franchise. Given the location, the English Statham’s potential involvement seems even more appropriate.

Lin has already begun work on Fast Six, even shooting the film’s 12-minute final scene while doing Fast Five in Atlanta. Fast Six has a targeted release date of May 24, 2013.

Oh man, that's awesome! Please be true!

Maybe they should fast forward 16 years and make Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster's daughter a teenager. I know the main cast isn't getting any younger. Most of them are about 40.

They should make it a crossover and have him star as Frank Martin. That way he can make up for the craptacular Transporter 3.

Jason Statham driving fast cars?!?! I'm in.

Then again, I would be in to see it anyway since the last 2 were good (especially the most recent).

Having Statham in it would be first class, but wasn't there a rumour bouncing about a while back that Fast 6 would be Vin Diesel's last Fast movie? If that's the case they could be lining up another actor to replace him.

Diesel and Lin have both said they have an idea for a seventh as well, so no, I I doubt that Statham is replacement for him.

A bit like Johnny Depp and PotC, but i would be more than happy for the FaF series to continue for a long time provided that Vin Diesel pushes out other films inbetween. Looking forward to the Riddick threequal he is working on, the guy is a charismatic movie star!

Much like that. Diesel has really realized how much he loves the series, so I'm glad he's decided to stick with it. I just want the third Riddick to be done soon. And I'm still sort of hoping he does the third xXx.

They really need to tie Tokyo Drift better into the series, even have part of Fast Six or Seven as a parallel story.

Not yet please.... I dont want the only asian guy to die off

Maybe they could "revive" him? Maybe there was a manhole underneath his car and he escapes? Magically shows up to save paul walker's/vin diesel's asses?

Unless Han Lue's real name is Peyton Westlake, I don't see that happening.
