Mutiny on the Bounty is "only" soft, Battle of the Bulge while it may have a bit more detail also has really bad sharpening which is why Mutiny looks more natural.
So overall I also would sooner watch MotB than BotB on Blu-ray. It would be nice to know which plans, if any Warner has for its rather large number of large format titles that either never made it to Blu-ray or that made it to Blu-ray in let's say more problematic quality. Something like an outlook about what will/may happen over the next 5 years would be nice. Other studios are also dragging their feet but it is Warner that holds the most interesting titles for most of us so it would be nice to know what they are planning in the near future. |
