Picked up Total Recall Mind Bending Edition for $7.88. I haven't seen it since the early 90's so hopefully it holds up. Looks like it got good reviews for picture and sound except for a couple exceptions.

My Wal-Mart never ever seems to participate in any of these deals but finally just put out a huge dump bin of $7.88 Blu's alot of which were titles I hadn't seen mentioned in this thread yet, I can go back and compile a list if anyone is interested. I ended up grabbing:

The Usual Suspects
Children of Men
The Thing (Carpenter version)
Army of Darkness
The Mist
The Strangers
Halloween (Rob Zombie and Carpenter versions).

Do you live in the east or west? I've been looking for Children of Men EVERYWHERE on blu-ray and my wal-mart does not have it there. I've heard that they have regional zoning that they sell different titles in due to shipping costs and other specifics.

It'll be on HBO next week; if you're already subscribed you can check it out.

You won't be disappointed. Don't expect it to look like The Avengers, but they did a great job with re-mastering.

I agree. I have both releases. The first is good, but they actually did some good work making the MBE.

Don't know if this has been posted, but recently I was at Walmart and someone was putting out a bin of $7.88 blu-rays. Most were titles released somewhat recently. Here are some that I remember:

-Cocktail (1988)
-American Reunion (with slip)
-Red
-Dream House (with slip)
-Good Will Hunting (with 15 Year Anniversary slipcover)
-The Color of Money

There were a few more but those are all I could remember. The employee also told me that they have more to get out, but I didn't stick around long enough to see what else.

I bought the first Total Recall for $5 bucks a couple months ago. Is the MBE worth the $8 update? I can probably sell the old one for a few bucks.

Default Movie reset at walmart

I work in electronics at walmart(Madison MS) and just to let ya know most, I believe all, walmarts will be doing a major movie rest dated for Mon. Oct 15th. This means that there should be a lot of different movies on mod and then others being marked down. My store hasn't had a $7.88 blu-ray bin but with the reset we have one now. Here's a list of the titles I've put in so far, when I go back in on Sat I should be able to print my mods so I can put a list of what we should have on mod. As always even though this mod for the most part should be pretty close to most walmarts, some might be YMMV.

Thanks. Most of these titles are already in the bin at the one I go to. They just stacked them on top of the other $7.88 titles that haven't sold yet.

I'd grab the original Willy Wonka and Cocktail if my walmart gets those.

There are a few on that list that I would snag if I could find them. Looking through those bins for a specific title can be a very time consuming venture though.

Thanks for the info, Kaye.

My Walmart was doing the reset today. I went in around noon, the shelves were pretty much empty, and there were boxes everywhere. Hope this is a sign of good things to come.

Don't wanna got too crazy though. "Black Friday" is just around the corner.

I picked up Willy Wonka tonight. Surprised to see it. They've apparently been replenishing the bin because it wasn't there last weekend. There are tons of great titles.

My Walmart also has the $7.88 Blu-ray titles. Now I regret getting all the Resident Evil 1-4 Blu-rays Steelbook when I had a chance.

Bought:
Paul Blart (Bluray/DVD Combo Pack)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Walmart Big Top Edition Blu-ray Exclusive). Still had it's slipcover some were damage but I got last one in good condition. This rang up for $5 when the cashier scan it.

Hopefully in a few days my local Walmart put new Blu-ray titles.

You could say that about any movie really. "Why buy it during release week, when it'll just be $15 in no time." Maybe they just want them now.
