If you read the description of the video and also listen to the video, as well as see the other videos, you will see it is fake.

Well at the screening, Carrington said that no cleanup work has actually started yet on the project so what we saw was still elements that were his rough cut. Albeit, this was like version 7 of his cut, though.

I hope I can finally see a non butchered cut of this movie, when released in France in cinemas and DVD, a scene was played twice back to back (when Lori gets into the hall with the skulls on the walls it lasts maybe 3 minutes then we see again Lori coming into the room and the movie goes on after that).

I'm very skeptical about it even coming out next year. According to pretty much all sources, a LOT of work needs to be done on it, so I don't expect it until the end of 2014 or early 2015 at the earliest. Plus, it's a Clive Barker project. I love him, but nearly all of his projects take years to get off the ground; The Scarlet Gospels is done and submitted to publishers, yet we won't even see it until winter 2015.

Hope I'm wrong, though.

I think it's going to be sweet to see the full version, but I don't have high hopes for the PQ since it's coming from VHS tapes. Unless they found some film elements.

According to Russell Cherrington the Theatrical cut will not be included on Blu-ray, only the Cabal cut. There are no original negatives and they have to work on an extremely poor print. I cannot at all imagine that this will look any good on Blu-ray , unfortunately. He told me in October that the Blu-ray should be released around summer 2014 , but I don't think they will make it that fast.

Even if it doesn't look all that great, I'll still be happy to have finally seen a closer version of what Barker wanted.

Can they also use an HD source of the Theatrical Version or are they not obligated to?

Incidentally, Warner should consider releasing the Theatrical Cut on Blu through the Archive to tie-in with this release.

I'd assume it's a combo pack unless Scream Factory says otherwise. Cliff MacMillan has indicated before that combo packs are preferable as it simplifies things for inventory and retail purposes.
