if i b uy a steelbook today hold onto it for 2 years then some one wants to pay me 20x the price what should i do say no thats ok you can have it for the same amout i paid for it then he flips it for 20 x the price

if people have the money to buy 10 copies to flip them its there thing
yes buying 50 or 100 or 200 copies sucks for others
but i buy 3 or 4 to sell to friends at cost(cuase they dont have credit cards)
if they dont end up payin me they go on a ebay where its great to get a profit helps pay for my new steelbooks
if you have a problem with people selling steelbooks like star wars for double
you buy them and sell them at cost no one will buy his and they will stop buying them at double the price

after all its just a movie its not like your going to die if you dont get it(well maybe some people will)
some fans will buy anything that says star wars on it

Excellent news! Amazon should have no problem matching, or possiobly beating, that price.
These will make great additions to my collection.

You would assume (and hope - I'll happily switch my pre-orders) but Amazon don't seem to be able to match or try to match Sainsburys prices on regular releases and pre-orders. They're quite often the cheapest, even if it's just by £1. Hopefully this will be different.

Well seeing as I'm "across the pond" my opitions are a little limited. A price match would be fine, as I'll have the peace of mind in Amazon's shipping and return policy(if needed). A lower price would be a dream.

Ah, I didn't notice the location. Well, even on this side of the Pond, I'm hoping Amazon will match them as I prefer them as a company (and their steelbook packaging is great). They just don't seem to be concerned about prices too much at the moment - I don't want to by cynical and say it's because of the collapse of HMV and the ending of Play.com but their slightly-upped prices have timed with those a bit too well.

ah! 29.99... that's more like it. I'll be in for that.

@ ilovedealsonmovies - just don't put "5 available" next time.

So you get the same crappy movies in shiny new packaging? I might actually buy the original trilogy steelbook to keep my non-anamorphic DVD set in.

I already have the Complete Saga boxset, but since Darth Vader as character has been quite special to me ever since I was a kid when I first time saw the movies, I was going to think about selling the boxset and then only buying that Original Trilogy steelbook. I would be missing on bonus discs and prequels so I wouldn't miss anything important.

But the reason I won't do that is because as you said, in the end these are the same releases with more horrible changes (Vader's "Nooo!" at Return of the Jedi is the one that broke my back really, others were tolerable to me.) so if I would actually sell my Star Wars blu-ray, I wouldn't buy it again. The silver coloured DVD boxset of the originals I have would be good for me.

And if you guys wonder why I bought these in the first place then? So I could see Star Wars on high-definition but now I'm wondering if it's really worth it for the cost of the movies.

Okay little off-topic but we aren't too strict here are we.

Sainsburys any good with preorders? http://www.sainsburysentertainment.c...duct=E11204025

Amen on Vader says no too. That + £60 price has stopped me from buying the SW BDs so far.

I've come to my senses and cancelled my order. I had just realised I will be paying £60 just for the case! I already have the complete saga anyway.

Enjoy guys!

Not to mention way better packaging and customer service of course which is even more important than the price really!

Even though I dont like the art too much I am tempted by the Star Wars steels. I dont have the box set and its still over £50 which is a bit crazy really compared to other boxsets.
