Zero extras on this one too I heard, so that means I will track down the old 2-Disc DVD. As I asked on the Lilo & Stitch thread what languages are on this set?

So this has no extras either? Well, I guess there's only one thing that I need to say to that.

"DISNEY! Why did I think you could do this? This one, simple thing! It's like I'm talking to monkeys! Some really, really big, stupid monkeys named DISNEY! And do you want to know something else? I've never liked your slipcovers."

More like..

Disney: Okay, I admit it. Maybe I wasn't as nice with these Blu-Rays as I should have been. But, yumny, do you really want to kill me?
Me: Just think of it as.. you're being let go, that your life's going in a different direction, that your company is part of a permanent outplacement.
Oblivious customers: Hey, that's kinda like what they said when they released your favorite movie without any bonus features.
Me: I know. It's called a "cruel irony", like my dependence on Disney's horribly crappy home video department in the first place.

Did they though?

Because there were a number of DVD releases that received little to no bonus features and a poor transfer. There were also a lot with static menus, some weren't even properly formatted for widescreen televisions.

At least they are releasing all of the films in the canon and a majority of them look and sound great. Bonus Features are called so because they are a bonus, not a part of the film. I understand people enjoy them, I won't lie and say that I don't enjoy listening to commentaries and seeing what goes on in the studio, but the fact is, Disney has released a beautiful presentation of it's film and in the end, that is the reason I will be buying the set, for the film.

The 2-disc DVD edition for this film is packed with bonus features and have a great transfer (for SD standards). I can't understand why Disney couldn't port over the bonus material. I'm still buying the BD because of the great presentation but I was expecting a better release from the studio.

Maybe they made an error like Roger Rabbit, they just accidently forgot the bonuses, and will have a mail away disk

I'll ask again, what languages are on this Blu-Ray? Just the usual English, French & Spanish or those 3 plus extra languages like Portuguese & Russian (i.e. Hunchback).

It says on the back of the box in the picture above that the film and subtitles are in English, French and Spanish. So unless the box is misprinted, I would say it's just those three...

And regarding the 2-Disc Special Edition of The Emperor's New Groove... That is not a fair representation of Disney DVD's as a whole. That was a rarity in terms of quality and content.

Disney sometimes has languages not stated on the back. Hunchback stated the same 3 languages, but had Portuguese & Russian as well.

I doubt it unless they got both this and Lilo wrong.

Will check it out tonight and post back but Lilo only mentioned English, French and Spanish on the cover but had many more on the actual disc.

Hi Indiana Jones

I checked the post of Lilo & Stitch, that you have already confirmed tracks and subtitles in Portuguese.

Now we need this to be confirmed.

We will wait for you to make a BDInfo in BluRays acquired.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I meant New Disney titles for 2013 thread

A rarity? Atlantis, Lilo & Stitch, Dinosaur and Brother Bear all got excellent 2-disc DVDs. Also Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, Mulan and Tarzan got excellent DVD treatments. And these are not even Platinum titles. Sure some DVDs were crappy (The Rescuers, Hercules, Hunchback) but as a whole, I think Disney put a lot more effort in the DVD era than right now.
