Man, it would be so nice to find an adequate version of EXTREME PREJUDICE. I actually saw it before I ever caught THE WILD BUNCH, so I have ridiculously good memories of the thing, even the love triangle stuff ('all the talk, it's gotta stop' is in use in my household as often as SEINFELD dialogue.)

I'm seeing a lot of disparaging comments for Passenger 57 here, such a shame, it's great fun!

Agreed! It blows the other films in discussion out of the water. It's not even a contest for me. It also has one of the best scores in film history by Stanley Clarke. The blu ray is of great quality too. I'm really not getting the disparaging comments there.

Of the Baxley films, Action Jackson is the most entertaining for me. I think Stone Cold may be the better movie, but it isn't quite as fun (and honestly, I haven't seen it or I Come In Peace) since VHS. Brian Benben seemed miscast in the later. I really should add all three to my collection.

I consider it a warm-up for his next two acts.

Beyond the Law isn't 1/10th as badass, but it's still a cool movie that I agree is crying for a Blu-ray release. Like Extreme Prejudice, my DVD copy is practically unwatchable.
I agree with everything you wrote. I've always looked at STONE COLD as a film that looked at what came before and delivered perfection. Action Jackson could have been better but Weathers really shines and I greatly enjoy seeing him in the lead. Its an essential film for any 80's action film fan's collection. Both Weathers and Bosworth deserved a few more leading roles in quality Action flicks. Its shame we didn't get them.

I think Stanley Clarke's score for Passenger 57 is the best thing about that movie. Not that the rest of it isn't any good, just that score has always stood out to me. In particular, love the opening credits theme and the awesome music used for when we see Wesley in the red corvette driving up through his arrival and meeting with Tom Sizemore and Bruce Greenwood at that restaurant. All of it is good though.

As an action movie, I prefer Baxley's 3 flicks.
