It is really really good. I have the BB exclusive with DI and DW. They have been given decent transfers.

I just got in the mail yesterday my copy of Cyborg, i plan on watching it tonight!!!

Also, i still need to buy the German version of Bloodsport, Is there anyone who has an extra copy or is willing to order me one at cost? I do not understand the german page on amazon and i have had many issues when ordering over seas with my bank card

Watched my German Blu of Desert Heat (a.k.a. Inferno) last night.

I am wary of throwing the term "upscale" around, but this seems to fit the bill. Absolutely ZERO high-def detail to be found. Also, I believe the U.S. DVD was 2.35:1 while this was 1.85.1. Edit: I was mistaken, the U.S. DVD is 1.85:1 also.

The completist in me doesn't regret getting the disc, but casual buyers should stay away.

Out of the Van Damme films that are already out on blu ray Kickboxer needs a remaster as soon as possible, mabey when the remake comes out.

My Danish dvd is also 1.85:1..? I have it ordered, so I'm looking forward to one more of my JCVD's on Blu!

I think it's very good for an 80's martial arts film in the B category.

Some have said the transfer is actually worse than the HBO 1999 DVD release. Due to DNR and other issues. It got pretty cheap recently, so I just bought it to check it out. I will touch base on my opinions, since I will be comparing both the DVD & blu-ray up on my 106" screen. If there are issues with either transfers, trust me, I will point them out.

But I have not yet seen in over 700 movies that I own, a Blu-ray which was inferior overall to its DVD counterpart. Not yet anyway.

Kickboxer looks awful but better then dvd ,but not good. It has lines and damage through most of the film. Read the review on this site you'll know what I mean. Bloodsport on the timecop 2 pack is a lot better. I hope to one day get a good version of kickboxer.

Lionsgate's Kickboxer and Replicant BDs aren't good.
I keep hoping a UK company will pick them up and do better.

Otherwise the only one that need any sort of BD release is AWOL (uncut version of Lionheart).
All the DVDs have been crap.

Theres nothing wrong with the us copy of bloodsport. The one from germany looks awful , not sure why people are wasting there money importing that.

Except for orange and red faces whenever possible and DNR when they felt like it.

The German release is better, very nice color and sharper, unfortunately it has aliasing issues. I own both and feel the German release is the way to go.
