Those are some beautiful pieces ........ and you know how I feel about Marantz gear as the owner of several units myself.

Do you plan to fire it up ?

Thanks. Didn't realize you had Marantz gear. Thought you used Harman and Onkyo.

No plans to fire it up. I'll have to slum it with my current stuff.

Very true. I tried hooking my Realistic EQ to my Onkyo 709 and all that I was able to accomplish was exactly this, no other sources would work. Having said that, on my set up I was able to plug one RCA cable from the tape monitor out on the Onkyo to the tape monitor in on the EQ if I remember correctly, which then allowed me to see the audio spectrum display on all sources, but no equalized audio. Sorry.

Lol. Too much work. Plus the turntable makes a great shelf for stacking stuff on.

Those Marantz pieces wow, so brings back some wonderful memories listening to albums along with a pair of 12" and 15" woofers to give us thump. We have come a long way with Home Audio over the years, but it's great to see that the old vintage gear still holds up. Personally I could not stand to have pieces like that in storage stacked up on other boxes. I would at least have to have them set up in a room just for nostalgic reasons.

I have a vintage pair of Pioneer HPM-100 speakers I was running with them. But those didn't even make the cut to basement storage. Those got regulated to the garage.

That Hamp-o-rama is an ornery old coot. But I think he uses Emo amps, not Onkyo.

So do you do any multichannel listening? Do you have a HT setup? And have you thought about getting a blu-ray player? The prices have really come down on them. Might be time.

Those are InvisiBro's two Onkyo stereo power amps on the bottom of his rack.

You got me. I concede on the Hamp-o-rama. He indeed does have the Onkyo's. Not sure why I thought he was running Emo's.

The question sure wasn't posed to Hamp. Lol.

During my excavation for those vintage Marantz stuff, I came across this little antique. While not quite vintage, it predates the PC burner era.

I thought about cleaning it up and making it look all pretty. But then I said, no. This is life in storage. It ain't pretty.

The Pioneer Elite PDR-19RW CD recorder. Complete with rosewood sides. Those were the days.

That's because almost everyone is drinking from the Emotiva trough .

[Show spoiler]

It's interesting though, that most of the posters on the Home Theater Galleries threads don't. What does that say about our crew ?

Well ................... Since it was decided that gear becomes vintage after 20-25 years it's close ........ And so is your Nakamichi deck

True. But it's balanced out by the crew drinking from the cable trough.

Soundbars and transister radios don't count as HT's.

Oh, I don't have one yet...

Had a nice Pioneer back in the day, as well as some others, but I'd have to get a new EQ if I wanted to do this...

Well here is the rear panel of my ADC SS-525SX with it I could equalize two sources and have them play through a receiver or AVR that doesn't have either a set of pre/out, main/in or a tape monitor loops
