That sounds right to me, but you should ask BFI. I don't want to make their announcements for them!

Man, those steelbooks look great. Too bad there's a dent in the Aguirre one.

Also, I'm a member of the minority on this forum that very much cares about disc art and I gotta say those discs are beautiful, especially next to each other. I wonder if those will be the same disc art used in the box set.

I was wondering this too...if they're part of the set they could be more likely to mention the shorts on the disc as well and have a more consistent design across the discs. I could be wrong though. I only say this because these discs mention the main film because they are separate releases of the films (i.e. Aguirre rather than Aguirre, Fata Morgana etc etc).

Well, if one feature heavily outweighs the other in terms of recognition, only the main feature will be mentioned. For example, Criterion's release of The Killing only has The Killing on the disc even though it also has Killer's Kiss:

And Killer's Kiss is bigger and more recognizable than Fata Morgana.

I'm only saying what I know from BFI's previous releases that I own - as BFI are releasing this set, not Criterion. The Ozu Collection discs mention the short films on them. We'll just have to wait and see I guess - to be honest it'd be easier and cheaper for the BFI to just replicate the same disc art for the boxset.

Nosferatu UK Blu doesn't contain my favorite trailer of the film so I figured it should be posted!

Nosferatu Vampiro de la Noche!

I got my steelbook and it looks wondeful. Image looks great from what I looked at... I am saving it to watch Friday nite.

Beautiful track, one of my favorite Herzog soundtrack compositions, along with Morgengruss II from Aguirre.

Gorgeous.

My favourite scene in My Best Fiend, has a smiling Kinski in between takes whilst filming Fitzcarraldo, playing with a butterfly who is quite taken with him with Popol Vuh's 'Als Lebten Die Engel Auf Erden' playing over the top of the footage.

It's actually quite a moving scene.

I really need to see My Best Friend, it looks like a fascinating insight into their highly volatile relationship. Unfortunately it's not included in the new box set.

Should I watch the original Nosferatu before watching Werner's version, or is it not necessary?

not necessary, they are different adaptations of the same material.

Herzog's version is a remake of Murnau's, rather than a different adaptation of the book. It's not at all necessary to watch it first but I would definitely recommend it.

Yeah think it was mentioned in the trailer on YouTube. Fair enough - at least it hasn't been pushed back as far as September like Eyes Without A Face! Don't think I could bare waiting any longer...
