Westworld wasn't that great though I didn't even know it was 8 episodes, I thought it was 13... now I'm sad.

Episode 6 was good, but it felt like it's been building on itself ever since episode 1 but then this was so much talking, kind of threw it off... Wasn't bad by any means, just kind too mellow after the past 5 episodes.

I've been watching this. It's more of a psychological thriller than a comic book series. I really like it though. Glad it's renewed for season 2.

I gotta say, after that Dance routine in that outfit, I am now a fan of Aubrey Plaza. This is the first thing I've ever seen her in, and have been a fan since the start of this show...now it's kicked up a notch.

Parks and Recreation, you won't regret it... if you stick around until mid season 2. Season 3+ are fantastic.

I've never watched P&R (with rare exceptions, I'm not really into sitcoms), but I've seen Plaza in a few other things.

First off, you should hunt down a movie called Safety Not Guaranteed, in which she's the main character. To quote kevin, "you won't regret it".

She'd also be awesome as a live-action Daria Morgendorffer, as this faux movie trailer will attest:

I did actually see Safety Not Guaranteed. I own it. I just missed it on the IMDB list. I enjoyed that movie.

The 7th episode was great.
[Show spoiler] There's a hint about who David's father is. When David is talking to himself he says that his father and the shadow king must have been enemies and likely fought each other. Charles Xavier and the shadow king were enemies and fought in the comics.

Episode 7 -- Excellent. Loved
[Show spoiler]the blackboard animation, the silent movie sequence, the use of the Bolera piece of music. The confirmation/reveal of Shadow King's true name, the hints at Professor X as David's father, including David channeling Patrick Stewart's voice at one point. Anyone else think of John Carpenter's They Live when they put on the glasses that showed the true world?

While I really did love
[Show spoiler] chalkboard sequence and the whole David coming into his own power, did anyone else feel like it was designed for the people who just could not follow the show up to that point. Felt like it was an explanation for viewers more than David to be personally. Again i loved the way it played out and the art was really neat and in a way its visualizing how David sorted out his emotions and his Power but at the same time it felt like the writers were like "hey this scene is for the people who did not catch any of this in the build up of the last 6 episodes"

Still a fantastic show and I can't wait for next week's Finale and I hope they can do even better next season

I agree, and said the same thing to my wife. But, while I love how weird this show is, I think it can sometimes get a bit too crazy for most average viewers, so I think it does need to level out and ground itself at times. That chalkboard scene not only was a great way to give some informative exposition of the history of Legion to newcomers who never read the comics, but it actually did, despite being a strange unique way of doing it, explain some thing and break from all the craziness going on.

Plus David himself has been confused so I didnt mind the cheat sheet. Best episode of the series for me by far.

[Show spoiler]I thought the finale was exciting but I expected at least one big twist. They get the shadow king out of David's head so easily. Also, considering what happened in episode 7, I expected at least a few more hints about Xavier being David's father.

[Show spoiler]I didn't really think it was "easy" just kind of obvious, Syd can swap bodies with people so of course she can get SK out that way. I'd have liked more 'epic' stuff like David and girl Cary with their forcefields running at each other, seems like all he did was knock SK out of her body which was kind of meh...
but I thought it ended well enough. Despite having TWO cliffhangers due to the mid-credits scene.

Now I'm sad we have to wait until next February-ish. Hopefully Fox goes through with the rumored BD release, I want to buy this.
