I hope Spring is qualified as a 2015 film. That one made it high up my list

I have it high on my 2015 list as well, as do several other members.

It's blu-ray release came out in June 2015, so hopefully it's eligible.

It does qualify. It didn't receive a limited release in the USA until March 20th, 2015.

Just warning you, I'm gonna totally rip off your idea. Cuz it just looks so beautiful to see the images. Think of it more as a tribute to your list.

Also, I feel bad for whomever has to tally up all the points. With all the wildly different lists and the amount of points per place, that's going to take a while.

Not to mention going through ever post and making sure there are no double lists, because it usually happens. Yep, not a fun task.

1. Jurassic World - A film that truly defined the reboot-sequel for generations to come.
2. Sherlock: The Abominable Bride - The dream thing may have been a bit off but the special was still hugely enjoyable.

Well, I'll never be able to make my votes count in this because you have to submit a minimum of 20. Wish I had the money of those who can to be able to watch that many 2015-released films. Seriously; strict rules - why not let people choose their favourite two 2015 films and then whatever other films they have seen this year? If this doesn't provide enough results, use categories like 'Best Action Film' etc...to determine it.

The rules for this have been the same for many years. There are other polls that might suit you better.

As for money, you could always rent most of them from the library for £2. Just saying.

£40 for 20 films I might not even enjoy? No thanks. I'll let my university show me films I would never consider watching myself.

Well if you don't want to watch films, don't complain about not having your list included.

Yeah, pay to watch movies. Like everyone else. Or don't whine. You're missing out, especially if you think that Sherlock special was worthy of mentioning. I like the show normally, but that was honestly the worst thing I watched over Christmas.

Not that it matters, since it doesn't count as a film anyway.

It's not a case that I don't want to, I just can't afford to pay to watch a load of films I may not enjoy and I am sure there are others who are the same. But whatever, you should all consider yourselves lucky that you have the money to spend on watching 20+ films released in said year a year.

Well, I'm finally going to see Carol today. I even bought a ticket on-line. YAY! So, I have a feeling that it is going to throw my entire 2015 list into chaos. But we'll see.

Oh, and the ticket was only $6! (Well, $7 charge, but), not bad.

Skimming through the lists so far, I see Mad Max taking the top spot. I found it to be pretty good, but definitely the most overrated movie of the year.

Working full time gave me the luxury of watching almost 100 new releases last year. You make it sound like we're all privileged when the hard facts are most of work our asses off to be able to indulge in our hobbies in our free time.
