If someone brings in a brand new copy to trade, they leave it in the shrink wrap. But they still have to sell it as used.

I can't remember if the employee at checkout said B2G1 half off or free? There's always so much BS pushed at you at retail checkout nowadays (join this, do that) ....I tuned out.

And it may have cost me this time.
Yea, it was B2G1 free, there were signs all over the store stating that. It doesn't seem like anyone else here was talking about it so that's why I'm thinking it might have been specific to my store. That was also on Saturday, and I don't know how long it was supposed to last.

Turned around and used my 40% off on:

I don't trade movies in, so I'm not entirely sure - but I think they give you more for credit as opposed to cash. So perhaps it was 25% extra ($5 total) with the 50% on top of that.

It rang up at $19.99? Previous reports had it at $14.99.

Superman Anthology apparently rang up at $39.99. I swear I read reports that it had dropped to $9.99 or so. Not sure if the employee was being entirely truthful to be honest.

Went to my local FYE (Harrisonburg, VA) with the 40% off coupon and walked out with . . . absolutely nothing. I really, really want to like FYE (I used to be a card carrying member of their society), but this local store has really tanked - both in selection and prices - even with 40% off.

But then, I am still in mourning over Hastings.

Yeah, Ten Commandments is ringing up as 19.99 now. I'll wait until 1 OCT and use the 25% off coupon.

Yes, the Superman Anthology was dirt cheap quite a few months back. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it, but I believe that is correct. There were a variety of prices on them, but they did all ring up correctly for the inexpensive price at one point.

Very much appreciate the tip on Twilight Zone: The Movie. Had to go to two FYEs, both a good ways away, but I nabbed one.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I found the Triple Play of Wrath of the Titans/Clash of the Titans (2010)/Clash of the Titans (1981) on the shelf, new, marked down to $5. Very nice price!

Also, once again, I found a "used" blu-ray (Hope Springs) marked $2.94, which automatically was marked down to $1 at the register with the message "Under $3 for $". I put used in quotes because the digital UV code inside actually worked!

I think I remember it being $29.99 and then $24.99, pre-discounts (like BSP). I don't know if I remember it ever going below that, not including clearance pricing.

I think I got it for $20 ($24.99 plus 20% off for starting a new BSP).

But, $9.99, wow if it ever was that price and kudos to those who got it for that.

I got the Superman Anthology for $9.99 back in February or March. I bought a couple of sets, because the price was so good. I do not see them in the stores much anymore, but when I was traveling to Buffalo last month, I did stop at a few stores and one store had a copy. It was $24.99, though. I also picked up the Nutty Professor set for $6.99.
