Is that really a reissue? That's the version from back when Cars 2 was released, I have the same one. I didn't get it at Target, though. DMC has a reissued version, and there's this version that just came out in May.

Finally watched all the way through. You know, I can recall seeing toys of a certain character's appearance towards the end of the film before the thing even came out. I guess they don't care about spoilers when it's a very toyetic movie?

Anyway, I enjoyed this one much better than Cars 2, even with the silly demolition rally in the middle of the film. The call backs to the old race cars was nice, and this really felt much more like a true direct sequel than what we actually got back in 2011. I'm glad they were able to include Paul Newman's extra lines from his recording sessions.

I really thought that was extra cool too. I never watched Cars 2, (don’t plan to either) so for my viewing, this is a true sequel. I really enjoyed Cars 3

There's something that has always annoyed me about the making-of material for the Cars movies. Lightning McQueen is almost always on a last-name basis, and others, like Cruz Ramirez, aren't. None of the filmmakers ever call Buzz Lightyear, "Lightyear." It's not like any of the many kids watching Pixar movies would want to call the main characters by their last names, anyway. They'd think it would be too formal.

Visually, it's gorgeous. You'd probably have fun just based on the eye-candy alone. But not their strongest screenplay...

Hi, does anyone have an actual picture of the ‘puzzle version’ from Target stores?
Thanks.

How did you end up with 2 digital codes? Did any of them redeem as 4k? For that matter has anyone who purchased the 4k version been successful in redeeming their digital code as 4k?

Just watched this in 3D and this has to be one of the best 3D discs out there. The story may not be as good as the first (although even that one had its tedious moments) but it is certainly head & shoulders above cars 2. And the 3D is spectacular...whether on the beach or in the mud it is a sight to behold! The main racing scenes are the best use of 3D for racing I've ever seen....whether on the dirt track, the jungle, and especially the Speedway, the 3D just puts you right on the track! It is nearly photorealistic and the sense of speed is just heightened so much more in 3D than any other version.

If you want the best version of this movie, and you are set-up for 3D,you owe it to yourself to get the 3D version.

I wish I could buy this in 3d, but I can't find that option anywhere in the US.

Bit the bullet and got Frozen and Big Hero Six in 3D also from the UK (I'm not a big fan of Frozen, but don't dislike it....It ain't Fantasia, to put it mildly....it ain't even The Little Mermaid). If you want these films in 3D, they're out there...now I just need to track down the BFG in 3D, because it was terrific in the theaters.

If anyone is interested, my usual brazilian supplier of 3D movies has a Cars 3 3D steelbook available. It comes with 3 blu-ray discs and the cover states dts-hd 7.1.

I finally got around to seeing Cars 3 today and thought it was really good. It took me this long to see this movie because I was never motivated after having seen the mediocre Cars 2. So I was expecting another disappointment when watching Cars 3 but I was wrong. Not only did I think Cars 3 was very good, but I think it might be the best one. Don't get me wrong; the first one was great, but I thought Cars 3 was more humorous and because of that, I enjoyed it more.
