Fans will also be pleased to hear the A Nightmare Before Christmas has just entered the production pipeline at Disney, so look for that animated jewel sometime in the middle to fall of next year.
10/31/07 dvdreview.com (end of 2nd-to-last paragraph).

Closest I've heard to good news. Here's hoping!

It would be cool if they had both the regular version and the 3D version on the disc.

My guess is it will be late September or early October since that is when Disney is releasing the 3D version in theaters again this year.

Bumpity. Had to do it to some thread---title of this one seemed most appropriate.

From Disney's own Home Entertainment Forum moderator:

Special Edition DVD (2000) bonus features:
*Deleted scenes
*Making-of featurette
*Storyboard-to-film comparison
*Still frame gallery of concept art & designs
*Audio commentary by director Henry Selick
*Original theatrical trailers & posters

and Tim Burton's early films
*Vincent
*Frankenweenie

August----sooner than I'd have thought. Excellent.

This is going to be fun. I loved that movie, Tim Burton is amazing. Here's to hoping that the movie gets released on time.

I hope this time they include the entire documentary instead of the sliced down version they used to fit it all on one disc

Where did you see the full-length doc, Wicky? I'd like to see it as well---it's a mind-boggling production, IMO. I remember the exhibit that was mounted at the then-Disney/MGM Studios park not long after the film's release; I wandered slack-jawed through the set props and articulated mannequins for at least an hour (somewhere I still have a photo of a case of Skellington heads wearing various facial expressions).

I miss that display. That was one of the main reasons I used to go on the Back Lot Tour. Love the movie and can't wait for the blu-ray release.

One of my must buys, looks like I'll finally be able to delete my DVR recording of it from last year.

Took 2 of my boys to see it in 3D last year when it came out (missed it myself when I was a kid) -- it was amazing.

One of my favorite movies of all time.

My eyes hurt by the time it was done though..... the 3D jack-o-lantern they added in the beginning was pretty cool though, it felt like you could touch him!
