I'm wondering if you have tone mapping enabled. I have that turned off on my TV. I haven't had a chance to watch the 4K version on my TV, but from side-by-siding it on my monitor in SDR vs the JP Blu-ray (came with the Blu-ray box for the show), I prefer the Blu-ray. It has film grain and looks great. No artifacting around the lines because they smoothed it out like the 4K.

If I could return my 4K copy without paying a ridiculous shipping fee, I would.
