I’ll get the individual releases too. No point paying for Episode 8 twice which has been priced into the boxset.

Have you tried inspecting those discs under a very bright light?

$330 is a rip off when it’s missing 2 movies. The people at Disney are smoking something.

It's highly probable that it's more than one thing.

I am definitely picking up the Rise of SW Steelbook to finish those steels.

Also, not liking the fact its missing Rogue One and Solo. Ys, Solo is not part of the Skywalker saga, and Rogue One is ancillary at best, but I'd still like to see them included.

Decisions, decisions.

It will be complete when Disney says it's complete. Otherwise I wouldn't hold my breath.

Ugh, I'm still buying it anyway.
Yeah, I'll still get it. But if any retailer offers alternate exclusive packaging or something (like if Best Buy has a Steelbook set or something similar to the set of the 4 Avengers movies, I'll likely opt for that).

If nothing else, I can always put the discs in regular cases with custom printed artwork.

Dude, the title of this thread says "The Skywalker Saga". This includes all 9 films in the Skywalker Saga. there are no more movies than that in the "Skywalker Saga". So no, two films aren't missing.

No. I played the CDs I mentioned that came in the same or similar packaging for over 6 months with no issues. And CDs are prone to scratching if you breathe on them. So if the packaging didn't affect them then it won't be a problem here.

So, will these have a Dolby Vision encode like they all do on Disney +?

I am guessing no because Disney hasn't done DV since Black Panther I believe. Everything else since then has no DV but Disney+ has DV for everything they ever released on 4K.

So far, that's 24 discs. Meaning we should also be getting 3 additional bonus discs if the count is 27. Whether that's the OOT or extras related to the Skywalker Saga in general is still unknown, but to me, that would be worth the purchase.

I may need to consider this as time goes on.

And yes, I do LOVE the layout of this set (especially the use of the Ralph McQuarrie artwork!).
2011 bonus discs? If years of buying LFL rereleases over and over has taught me anything it's that they rarely carry anything over from one set to another. The bonus discs for the prequels on DVD were superb, and did LFL carry them over onto the BDs? Did they heck. Didn't even port over Empire of Dreams from the OT DVD set.

My hope is that each movie comes with its own respective bonus disc which collates every bonus for that movie that has at least already been released on DVD and BD thus far. And banthas might fly.

Oh I'm digging the look of it, but the sleeve holders are downright offensive to me. I'll be doing what other folks are doing, buying it then putting the respective discs into their own cases.

I'd sure welcome that with open arms for sure, but you're right it probably won't happen.

the stars must have realigned when Fox added Dolby Atmos to a bluray, specifically for 'Missing Link'

Rogue One should be part of The Skywalker Saga cause it connects between 3 and 4. For $330 all the Star Wars movies should be included.

If this is just the versions on Disney+, this is gonna be a hard pass for me. They look like crap (and they’re the SEs).

Only way I would spend this much on this is if it comes with original theatrical releases, but we all know that will never happen.

I'd like to see Rogue One in the boxset. Solo can stay single, as it has no Skywalkers in it and Disney has a Death Star-sized pile of Solo discs that remain unsold due to the high price they locked it at and the SW fan disdain for the film.
