Just read the Blu-ray.com review
Review has listed New 4K scan from the original negative

Note
Scream Factory release
Restoration was a new 4K Scan From The Interpositive

Default Nice transfer; no Technicolor credit

The packaging says scanned from the original neg, but that's apparently incorrect... the interpositive scan sounds closer to reality. Notice that the Technicolor credit has been removed (as it was in Universal's last BD release); the card with this credit has been freeze-framed, freezing Reed's shifting eyes in the process. Released in the U.S. as an Eastman Color offering, U smudged out the color credit in all domestic prints, and has now chosen the freeze-frame/erasure route. The only time the correct credit appeared in recent video releases of TCOTW was in Universal's initial DVD release of their vintage Hammer titles some years back. Why this credit was restored by U, then removed again, is anybody's guess.

Just ordered this. Looking forward to seeing this again as it’s years since I saw it on TV.

Now that I’m able to import some of these shout titles, can any one recommend any other Hammer titles they have done that are worth owning?

I own three different blu ray releases of this film (and one dvd) and the one I prefer is the French blu ray release. There's a rich, golden cast to the image that gives it a warmer, mediterranean look. It helps to convince you that the story is set in Italy.

Recently added Shout's edition to my Hammer library and watched it last night. This is a really good movie, divided into three extremely compelling acts. The first act is fascinating, serving as a very dark origin story for the protagonist, who doesn't appear until the second act. The grown up protagonist played by Oliver Reed doesn't appear until the start of the third act.

True, we don't see the werewolf a lot in this movie, but you do see it just enough. All in all, the monster is probably on screen at least as much as Lon Chaney's Wolf Man in any of the Universal classic movies.

Yeah, this is top 5 Hammer movie material, Fisher was in top form when he made Curse of the Werewolf. On top of that, i'd say that this is easily the Hammer movie with the best special effects for a monster, hands down. Only the first two Quatermass movies and the last Frankenstein by Fisher come close when it comes to monster fx. Definitely worth owning, plus I love that this release comes with a reversible cover of the original poster, my personal favorite Hammer poster of all time.

Gave this a rewatch late last night and dove into the special features...found myself laughing and entertained by John Landis' Trailers from Hell feature....hahaha!

Anolis vs Shout, in that order, natch.

Anolis demonstrates the fad for urine-soaking that was so popular a few years back. I actually thought it looked ok, until I saw the remaster...

The Anolis looks like viewing the image through sunglasses. (Although I do absolutely love how the shiny blue fabric in that dress really pops, in a way that doesn't quite happen in the Shout version.)

I haven't watched this one yet, but the caps look very nice on the Shout. Very good color and filmlike texture.

Unlikely as slipcovers with scream factory collector's editions are only guaranteed for first 3 months after release date

Release date was back in April 2020 (1 year 9 months ago)

It would be just luck if any of the main retailers still had stock with a slipcover

You might have better luck with ebay private seller

I happen to enjoy The Evil of Frankenstein though and I certainly DO hope Scream releases it (maybe even WITH the TV inserts as extras for nostalgia). Very much looking forward to this new transfer of The Curse of the Werewolf too!
Movie studios often shoot extra footage for televised versions of movies that often never gets seen in theaters or on home video. Universal did it for "Earthquake" in 1974, Columbia Pictures did it for "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" in 1977, and 20th Century Fox did it for "Aliens" in 1986. Sometimes you can find those clips on YouTube. Sometimes.
