Always thought that scene was gorier than a lot of R rated horror at the time even if it is presented in a 'comedic' context to serve as a prank.

This is finally available for pre-order from Best Buy (although ironically, while they also now have all the April WAC releases and finally added the Paramount Presents edition of To Catch a Thief, they've now deactivated the Fatal Attraction pre-order they had, although of course, Amazon had that for $12, so perhaps that's deliberate) for $22.99, which is standard release date pricing for these Sony titles. Amazon has also matched the price.

Just found out about this release but I'll definitely be picking up a copy. I used to watch this all the time on TV. It was on network channels so I never knew about the reveal until I caught it on HBO once. I was quite surprised when I saw the uncensored ending. Good times, they just don't make them like this anymore.

It's funny you mention this because I grew up with similar experiences. One of the more noticeable purveyors of this style of movies throughout the 90s was USA's "Up All Night" programming block and so a whole lot of folks likely saw many of these movies for the first time edited for tv. Even despite them airing late at night and into the early morning they still had the same usual edits you'd probably find on broadcast tv with perhaps a bit more leeway for language. Can't recall these types of movies really airing much on broadcast tv other than perhaps maybe FOX in their earlier days.

The preorder for this is part of Target’s Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale. It’s $23.49 - by adding two similar priced items I was able to get it for just under $16 after tax.

I'm sticking with my Bullmoose pre-order for this particular one, as I find them always dependable with pre-orders.

Target and pre-orders are sometimes sketchy. Most of the time you do get them on or around the release date, but a few I've placed on their previous B2G1 sales were not received until 1-2 weeks after the release dates.

I've seen it on HBO bunch of times it's funny on TV they had to edit around Billy in his bedroom with all the Playboy magazines on the wall. USA up all night was great they had a lot of gory slashers on I recall.

They're just out of the current pressing, this happens all the time with MOD releases. Normally I would say it should be back in stock within the next 3-6 weeks, however, in the current situation, it could be anyone's guess when they will get more stock.

Easy and safer solution is just order from a different site. Amazon being on the higher end of pricing and one of the more unreliable sites at shipping near release date make me stay away from them anyway

Several people ordered it at Target B2G1 sale last week for about $15 though that's not an option now

Bullmoose almost always has the best release day price on these Sony MOD at $20. No Sales tax outside Maine and $30 FS -- if you absolutely can't find a 2nd item, just add a $10 GC to make the FS limit.
