I'm always late to the party on these great new 4k titles. I'm so glade one is getting a 4k treatment. Way to go Arrow!

I want to wait for a non limited edition too, but I'm not going to risk missing out and worrying about getting scalped on eBay. Pre-ordered!

That's part of my point - most people care about on-disc content more than they do little paper and cardboard greeblies. Arrow might take in more revenue if they kept that in mind, and a release with nice packaging, unique cover art and a bonus disc would still be 'top of the line' in my book.

I doubt they'd take any extra money, if anything I'd say it's the opposite, they'd in fact make less money, because a lot of people like something a bit extra than just they on-disc material. They want something more to make it feel that little bit more special than just a run-of-the-mill release that you can pick up anywhere. It gives them an incentive to buy on release date for fear of missing out of the limited edition set, even if it's a title they're only passingly interested in.

If Arrow put out 'standard' editions for every single one of their releases I'm pretty sure most people would actually wait for when it's' on sale, which would ultimately lead to Arrow putting out less substinal releases.

For those who've already ordered from Diabolik you'll better read the fine print because they don't want to give refunds if you decide to cancel. Another member is having this an issue with them for the same reason right now, so this is a warning. I always had a feeling that they were shady, which is why I've never ordered anything from them!

Amazon price might go down, but I went ahead and bought the 4K limited edition from Diabolik. I'd rather buck up for limited editions like this to ensure the packaging doesn't arrive messed up.

Top of the line means different things to different people. I think the extras make this a more attractive set than just the discs alone.

A standard package, no matter how attractive, probably won't move as many units. Some people collect the Limited Editions simply because they are limited and will gladly pay Amazon's price to own it.

They're not shady in the slightest. Reading a companies' policies before you give them your money should be a no-brainer. If people are too impulsive and rushed to make educated decisions, that's on them.

I've never had any problems with them. Orders arrived on time and well packaged. I recall reading that you can't cancel, but I haven't tried. I use paypal or a credit card when I order from them so I can dispute charges easier if there is an issue.

Diabolik has some of the best packaging in the industry. Ordered several items from them and everything always arrives in pristine condition.

If you cancel, they give store credit. It’s essentially like buying (and then using) a gift card.
