Weird: they just replied to me saying "Unfortunately, a region-free disc is not available at this time".

As per my previous post, I got in touch with LionsGate and they said they have no corrected region-free version of the 4K UHD. So I guess it's never coming...

Can someone who has the German 4K release by Capelight confirm if it has English subtitles?

Packaging only list German subtitles, but some releases by Capelight also include English subtitles even though they’re not listed on the cover.

have been informed by Lionsgate that a replacement copy for the region locked 4k disc has been organsised and i should have it in a couple weeks.

Lets see what shows up and if it is region free

Did they seem to know and understand that's why you need a replacement and say you're getting a region free version? If not I think it's pretty unlikely.

and is indeed now REGION FREE

i did yes.
i had heard there was some kind of replacment program for Talk to Me so i thought why not email them and see what happens. proof or purchase, photos of the packaging, discs etc were required of course

whether or not the same will happen with Fall or Twilight,
wouldnt hurt to reach out and see what reply you receive

I rarely blind buy these days, especially horror, but I just spotted it on Kanopy over the weekend and took it out for a test drive. I thought this was one of the best horror films in a long while. The entire film was unsettling, sometimes downright disturbing; it had an emotional component that allowed you to connect to the characters; and it was very stylish. A24 has quickly unseated the major studios with the caliber of movies they're releasing -- they don't always land, but you can go in expecting the unexpected.

Was having issues with the 4k disc as I posted months ago, popped the disc into my Oppo today and it's throwing a region mismatch code and no matter what I do with region switching will fix this issue yet other region A's play without issue. Contacted Lionsgate for replacement, thanks for the email contact!

Was hoping there might have been some sort of product recall on it.

For those who received replacement region free 4K disc from Lionsgate, can someone confirm what the serial number reads from the inner ring? Maybe folks can use that as reference to see if their new copies have been fixed.

I bought two copies of the 4k recently from Scamazon, and of course they're both the erroneously region-locked discs. It didn't bother me in the least since all my 4k players are region free. But Scamazon is always the "dumping ground" for any and all remaining stock of all defective and second-rate product. They're still selling defective 4k copies of Titanic, Rosemary's Baby, and Escape From L.A. as well. It's luck of the draw. And usually, the consumer loses.

On a positive note, I had blown right past this release last year. That was my mistake. I finally watched it last week, and thought it was really solid for a 2023 horror film. Then again, just about any foreign horror film is more to my tastes lately than what they're brewing up in the USA these days. This is totally worth the dirt-cheap price of admission with Black Friday promos going on right now. Of course, you might just need a region free 4k player to see it, if you're grabbing that $9 copy directly from Scamazon.....

After having criticised LionsGate quite bluntly re. the region lock, also kudos to LionsGate for the excellent support re. eventually sending me a region free replacement.

I did contact them a couple of days ago after someone pointed out elsewhere that there's a region free replacement available by now, eventually got the according shipping confirmation yesterday and just had the replacement in the mailbox via UPS express, i.e. the next day.
