If they announce the full trilogy instead of just the first movie, I'm going to be blasting Tarzan Boy at full volume.
Coincidentally, I'm actually wearing ninja turtle underpants today!

Makes sense. They may only bother to rescan the other two if this one sells really well. Some movies are just great evergreen sellers on dvd. The Pauly Shore catalog is an example; those movies were on the shelves of places like Wal Mart and in $5 bins for years.

Interestingly enough, her complaints in that last remark wound up being shared by several parental groups, which is why the Turtles didn't use their weapons in Secret of the Ooze.
This is indeed correct. She said all this in a Variety interview article a few years ago. They actually considered bringing her back for the third movie but then decided against it as they felt it would confuse the audience. The big irony is when I watched the third movie I had no idea at first that was Paige Turco due to them changing her look.

I saw this in the cinema. I felt so cheated.

Just curious: why did you feel cheated? I thought the overall tone of the film was much more in line with the first effort, and using CGI animation allowed them to do things at the time, which were impossible otherwise since the budget was only $34 million. Yes, the story was a little silly in places, like Michelangelo moonlighting as "Cowabunga Carl", and the Jersey Devil monster's fight sequence in the kitchen...but if I had to rate the film in total, I'd give it a solid 8/10.

Those animatronic/suitmation Turtles still blow away any CGI version.

From a practical standpoint, sure, but I did enjoy the approach of the 2007 film. Michael Bay's version sucked, though; I literally fell asleep maybe 15 minutes in, and never saw the second one.

I'll tolerate no TMNT slander. That movie is solid. And all Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles should include some silliness. The only criticism I'd give it would be the Kevin Smith cameo.
Ideally, this release would be the full tetralogy, because TMNT needs a better release, but I feel that would be even less likely than the trilogy.

Image comparison I did some years ago between the open matte DVD and widescreen Blu-ray. Shots like this are the only reason I even still own that DVD.

Since this isn’t listed as one of the upcoming 4K titles on the leaked WB images, I’m going to assume a boutique label is releasing this rather than WB themselves.
