Talia Ra's Al Ghul's daughter. At one point she was rumoured to appear (played by Rachel Weisz) in the follow up to Batman Begins.

Batman and Talia were pretty serious as Ras wanted Batman to be his heir.

People forget that Nolan has a realistic and serious take on the Batman concept and certainly (up to now) hasn't gone for camp or funny (for those who suggest Jonny Depp's Captain Jack) or even typical comic book (Bane or Riddler). Whatever his take on established characters, it won't be what most of us will visualise (that's why he's the successful director and we aint!).

Don't sweat rumours no matter how bad (Cher as Catwoman) I trust the Nolan brother's vision, they haven't let us down ...yet!

I agree. Nolan does not choose the actors we, "the public", think are the best choices. The Nolan's have done a great job casting thus far. I would like to see Ryan Phillippe as the joker (if the joker is used in the 3rd movie) He is not super well known, but i think he could surprise us and pull off a great role.

Glad to see the rumors are developing somewhere else too. I had posted a rumor for Cher as Catwoman yesterday that I heard on the radio, along with the Depp for Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman for Penguin. I like all 3 choices, so hopefully the rumors will end up being true.

Fanboys have attention spans of gnats. If people are this hyped up for a third Batman already, imagine what it will be like in 3 years when/if it is finally released. The people who dressed up as hobbits and Aragon for the Lord of the Rings movies will look normal compared to Batman fans.

You didn't see TDK on opening night. In the small-capacity Imax auditorium I saw it in, I counted eleven Jokers, eight Batmen and Batgirls, and five other dorks in capes.
