Yeah I see it’s not after following the link. I was just going by what was listed here.

This looks to be getting a new pressing in the UK. Up for pre-order on Rarewaves, listed as 20th Century Studios.

Arrow should do this movie. It fits right in.

Interesting that it's a new pressing of a 20th Century studios title. First sign of a new wave, perhaps?

Maybe Sony is actually flexing a little muscle behind the scenes.

Awww... I love this movie... I hope they'll do at least a better encoding... wasn't the old Fox disc MPEG-2?

I didn't understand the film so I'm in no hurry to pick up a copy on Blu-ray but I might grab a 4K if one is released. Also, I'm blanking on it now but I recall reading about the studio interfering with this film in some way - is this accurate? I'd grab a copy of an original/workprint version in a heartbeat even on Blu-ray.

Yes it is! The movie was supposed to be much more expensive originally... I think Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt were supposed to play the roles of Izzy and her husband... but then the studio for some reason I don't remember anymore pulled the plug...

Darren Aronofsky released the original story as a graphic novel...

Later on he got about half of the originally planned budget, he cast Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman, got rid of the expensive battle scenes and that's mostly the whole story. I think both actors are absolutely fantastic in this!

I don't think the movie version is missing anything when compared to the "original" graphic novel...

A totally underrated masterpiece!

When you watch it again, realize the following, spoilers obviously...

[Show spoiler]The "past" is the book his wife was writing, it's not real, just injecting themselves into the story. The "present" is real and what he is experiencing. The Future is his ending to the book, can also be interpreted as real, but it's almost assuredly what he writes after she dies.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm open to another viewing but I'd have to buy another copy. Warner was selling this as a sci-fi film and that's what got my butt into that theater seat in 2006. I can feel a genuinely great film is there somewhere, just not with the final theatrical version. Maybe someday.

I will buy this again if a 4K comes out. Otherwise I don't think we're going to get a great copy of the current transfer.
