+ 150.41 tax
Total = $1,307.41 CDN

This amount is much too expensive. My question would be what are your thoughts of purchasing each speaker individually as my budget permits? For example buying the CC-190 first then one Monitor 7 in a couple of months then the other Monitor 7 after. Would that be a possible alternative?

Also, I know a few members including DLS_22 and Twitch9 and others are Canadian. Could you suggest authorized dealers around the Toronto area I could visit? I don't mind haggling, it's one of the things my Dad taught me .

Any feedback I would greatly appreciate. Thank you.
I agree with the others and also suggest the CC-290 and like lucv13 said it's up to you to decide. If $1300 is close to what your expecting already hopefully one of the dealers will give you a discount that can fit your budget - if you can get 15% off that will get you close to that anyway with the CC-290, just let'em know what your budget is and that your hoping to fit that CC-290 in there with the Monitor 7's. Here is the link for dealers just put in your postal code and it'll bring up dealers in the area. Dealer Locator
Also if you can do it I would suggest getting the Monitor 7's first then the center - just let them know you'll be back to visit them for more... maybe even for surrounds later on.

Good luck!!

@Eigesan
Not sure if you purchased your Monitor 7's yet but I got a great deal at Trutone Electronics in Mississaga. Monitor 11's + CC390 for $1650 including taxes.

Thanks for the advice DLS_222 and everyone else. I feel more encouraged and confident about the CC-290 .

Not yet, but I've been to Trutone Electronics. I live in Etobicoke and they have a store here. But, I've read reviews that the Etobicoke store deals more with custom home theater installation and the Mississauga store deals more with retail. Glad that you got a good Paradigm deal at the Trutone Mississauga store . I'll check it out.

@Eigesan
I live in Etobicoke as well and that Etobicoke location is basically a showroom. The Mississauga location is where you want to go and has a great selection of Paradigm products to choose from. You could probably get a great deal on your 7's and CC290. Take a look just for fun, it's just down the street from the Etobicoke location.

Default Surround Advice

I have a pair of Studio 100's and the CC690 coming in today. Both are V.5 models. Since I spent a lot of extra money from my budget to get these and now I'm a little light for surround options. So I'm looking at the following options...

Pair of ADP-390

Pair of Millenia ADP

Pair of Studio 20's (v.4)

What would you recommend based on those?

Heres a Question I plan on going with the 2 Monitor 7s for the fronts,2 Titan Monitors for the rears.1st question will it matter if Im using atoms for the rears instead of the titans?Also for the center it suggest the CC-290 if I go with the 390 instead is that overkill?Is there going to be a big diffrence between the 2?The reason I want the bigger center Is this is my first system I put together,I have had many HTIB systems and always has problems hearing the voices and talking clearly not shadowed by the back ground noise If that makes sense.

Using atoms for the rears instead of the titans shouldn't cause a noticeable difference. For the center, I'm of the belief that bigger is better, and I don't think you can have overkill for a center, especially when the majority of a movie soundtrack comes through the center.

When I auditioned mine I didn't find a big differance between the 7's and 9's but between the 7's and 11's was another story. In order to find out what the differance is don't listen to me or anyone else you should go and listen to them yourself. Then you will be able to see what the differance is, whether it is big or small.

I would go with the Studio 20's. When/if you can upgrade, you could move those to another room for stereo.

What do you guys think 2 monitor 11s or 2 studio 20s?Im starting my home theater and only have a budget of 2000.00.This is my first system so I thought I would build slow.The only downside to the studio 20s is thats going to be an expensive center when its time.

I have recently upgraded from the Monitor series to the Studios but from Monitor 11's to Studio 100's. Although I haven't heard how the 20's sound I would go for them anyway. If you go with the 20's and get a bigger center I think it would be worth it in the long run. Maybe start off with only 3.1 with the center you want and you get another pair of 20's later for 5.1... THEN if you want even more you can get towers much later for a good 7.1 and you' already have all the surrounds you need. For now the 20's will do good anyway for HT with a sub and even for 2ch music. Homethatermag has 5 Studio 20's listed as a good choice for HT and I agree - that would probably sound good too and could save you a bit from a bigger center speaker. Don't rush building your system though, I think I should have done that from the start and I wouldn't have caught the upgrade bug, with these speakers I'm really happy now! Monitors and Studios are both great speakers but like I tell everyone else you might end up getting the upgrade bug and with this choice you've already started building rather than switching to different speakers later on.
Good luck!

Given the above choice I would go with the Studio 20 as well, however why not the Studio 10 for the rear

Agree.... studio 10s will be the surprise for most, nearly the bass extension of the 20s, for 2/3 price....

Default Help me identify my Paradigms, please!

I just bought these Paradigm Performance Series speakers, and I could use some help identifying them. They are 33-3/4 inches tall, 8-1/4 inches wide and 14-1/2 inches deep. Apparently the labels have come off. See the attached pic. Thanks in advance.
