Ok, but is there a particular point in the film that I should test? I don't really fancy watching the film again so soon (only watched it last night).

Hobgoblin,

...Any chance you could check the garbage compactor scene in ANH for sound noise over the dialogue just after Han shoots?

Cheers,

Matt

from the reports so far they seem to be littered across the disc so perhaps 10-15mins looking at various points might give us some idea

thanks for your help

Gah, I also didn't receive a SW boxset today, despite HMV despatching on Wed. Out of house on Mon so will probably not have the opportunity to pick it up until Tues or Wed. Only ordered from HMV to get it early and it was also more expensive than elsewhere. F**k you HMV.

Have just checked a couple of minutes of the compactor scene via my standalone. When Han shoots the first time after falling in, all I hear is the shot going from speaker to speaker. However, after Luke gets caught by the creature for the first time and reappears, and asks Han to shoot "anywhere" to get rid of it, I caught what briefly sounded like static (for want of a better word) when Han shoots. Not sure if this helps?

Thanks for checking!

It's noise around the dialogue that I've noticed - static is probably a good word to describe it or interference...it's most noticable towards the end of Luke saying 'it's magnetically sealed' and then Leia replying to him. ...I detailed it on the previous page - i'm using my phone now so can't easily get at the info!

I didn't notice it yesterday - just today , although I was playing it louder!

Anyway, thanks again.

Matt

And im heading off to Uni on the 16th and im thinking of cancelling it. But would like to know about the film cell.

Hi - as Kurgen1975 says, the film cell is an online exclusive, so I don't think you'll get it if you buy it from Tesco. Also, my Amazon preorder had a dispatch estimate of 12th-13th September, but it was dispatched today and the estimated delivery date has now changed to the 13th September - so maybe yours will come sooner too.

Same here My pre-orders nearly always arrive on a Friday or Saturday, not so with Star wars. Could have gone with Amazon and saved myself a tenner in the process, only stuck with HMV cos I hoped to get it early. If it comes Monday then I guess that's fine, but if it doesn't....

I think one of the US members Merlinpants played around with the subtitles and lost the Alien language ones, so I would assume they're player generated and not burned-in.

HMV take longer with larger items, usually about 5 days, they are not sent via Royal Mail. I'm pretty sure I pointed this out many moons ago in this very thread.

Just seen an advert for star wars blu ray complete boxset at tesco, they are selling it at £60. Anyone know the prices Asda & Morrisons are going to be selling it for?

So I'll have to pick it up from a courier distribution centre. Hope it's not too far away.

Already watched TPM - great transfer but almost too good as Jar Jar appears to be in a different movie sometimes - he really does jump off the screen but not always in a good way

Also I haven't ordered from Tesco for a while but my in-package invoice was the full price and didn't have the price I have on screen (with the 15% discount) anyone else have this or is it just me?
