Hi, just type in Saracens on the groups, and once you've joined click on the Playstation Clan button to join the in game version. That way the emblem and clan name show up.

Be advised that Bungie will be disbanding all clans formed during the Beta prior to September 9th.

Clan members will need to reaffirm their allegiance after September 9th. We’re not breaking up Clans – just severing their ties to the Beta. Once Destiny launches, your ranks will need to reset a Group as their Clan. Oaths you have taken will be taken again.

How's the SP campaign going to be affected if one person plays one day and the other doesn't?

Omegaice is correct. You can join the clan on Bungie.net as a group member, but click on the Playstation clan on September 9th only. It's because of the fact they're severing links to clans and then it goes live again when the game launches.

Srinivas, there is no single player that's offline, if you managed to read the comments here. If you mean 'affected' by not being able to replay missions, that's not an issue. Ypu can play missions again and again from the story on different difficulties.

I think everybody knows that the game is online only at this point in time

I imagine thus that Srinivas ' concern is that the progression on the campaign (which can be played both Single Player or Co Op multi) probably means that access to the story campaign is in stages, that unlock as you go. Thus someone that is farther along might not have the same "unlocked" areas as someone else.
My guess is that in that case people would play whatever areas they all have access to?

Personally, my only fear with this (playing Co Op) is that playing through some areas that some players ahve already done multiple times, if there are in game cinematics to advance the story, they would be tempted to bypass them. In that case, do the whole group move on, or can you chose to continue watching anyway?

Thanks for clearing that up . I thought the 'campaign' was like in Watch Dogs or worse, like in Arkham.

Maybe only the 'host' can skip a cutscene? If player 1 starts a game and and player 2 joins him, then only player 1 has the power to skip a cutscene?

Btw, I'm watching a co-op walkthrough on YouTube. Where do you meet up in the initial level? I thought it was before you crossed the Wall (as shown in last year's E3 footage)?

That is the absolute worst thing in FF XIV

Nothing worse than being in a story related Dungeon and watching the cutscene only to rejoin and everyone has ran off to the next boss and you're locked out of the battle

Does anyone feel like setting up a clan thread in the community gaming section?

Maybe throw some clan name suggestions and start a pole to see what the popular choice is? Or we can just stick to NARMAKs clan name?

I'm probably not the best person to take it on, since I don't think I'll have the time to keep it updated.

I'm thinking first post should be a list of BD.com members with their PSN names and the usual times they play. Then a link to the sign up for the clan over at Bungie.

Then when the games out we can use the thread to organize Raids or PvP tournaments etc. as and when and then OP can be updated to keep track.

So is anyone up for the task?

Well, I certainly don't mind setting up the thread and I doubt it has much time investment required. I do actually have a secondary clan set up that I founded. It's called Sand Soldiers, but again, I did that because I couldn't find my original group and then both popped back up lol

So, I think i'll scoot off and find the link, but it's gonna be a generic clan thread if people decide to set their own clans up etc. Just list the names if you already have one etc.

You have to do it on Bungie.net I believe BUT I don't have the updated app on my smartphone so no idea if clan joining etc. is available on the companion app they released.

It felt unique and wasn't taken. There is another group called Sand Soldiers I have that got made when the Bungie.net site got screwy and Saracens disappeared, but theb re-appeared lol. So, either one I guess would be ok but I need to activate a clan function for that group if people wish to use that.

Can someone give me a quick rundown as to how the game works re: online/offline/single and multiplayer modes?

This is the game I'll be getting a PS4 for and I'm still not 100% sure how it all works, despite having seen the Youtube vids.

It's an online only title. Can be played alone or with people.

I believe you can still play this without PS+ however, certain parts of the game may be locked out. Don't quote me on this though
