That's right!

If this doesn't arrive Monday (no shipping notice means it probably won't) it's gonna be a LONG time 'til I have the time to watch it. GTAV will consume all my free time until, well, Halloween at the soonest.

"The Digital Age" certainly has spoiled all of us to an extent, in all fairness. I remember waiting for Friday the 13th 8 to make it to video because I wasn't old enough to see it in theaters, and back then it took a lonnnnnnnnnng time for movies to go from the theater to VHS. Compare that to the new Star Trek movie already being on BluRay while it's probably still in some theaters. And back then, you had to wait even longer to be able to own new releases without paying a small fortune. It does make it harder to wait for anything now when we're used to things being available before we even think about looking for them. This will probably just get worse as there's a bigger emphasis on pre-orders. Now we see the listings on Amazon the same week movies are released in theaters.

So yeah ... another lie from 1428. They said only DD and CLM would be getting the "soft release" and everyone else would have to wait 'til October 8th. So now I've paid $20 over Amazon's price, $25 over B&N's pre-order price, and I'm not even going to get it any sooner for that. I'm sorry but this company has been talking out of their mouth this entire time and consistency is in short supply. I'm feeling so bloody angry, the MPAA would edit me into nothing or insist I receive an NC-17 rating.

Do you talk bollocks for a living? Also I wish you wouldn't use terms like 'LOL'...I have this image in my head of you sat in your room typing and laughing out loud to yourself, I'm sure you don't do that do you?
Just because you pre-ordered on the first day gives you no right to receive it before anyone else, get a tissue and dry your eyes.

LOL is right. People who pay weeks or months in advance shouldn't receive priority treatment...makes perfect sense.

Jeez take a pill, and honestly you have been a member on here for what 3 weeks now?!! And you're from the U.K. so you expected your order (if you even placed one to show up later on anyway), there's a big difference and please if you are going to troll forums. KNOW what you are talking about, I never said I should receive it before anyone else, so yet again I must repeat that I simply said that those of us who pre-ordered two months ago should have had our orders filled BEFORE people who ordered last minute the day of release. But thanks for your two cents, now bugger off!!!!

Thanks... By the way, I wasn't knocking it just for being a DVD... but with 4 Blu-rays to get through, I might never get around to watching a bonus DVD... so I'm not sure I'll worry about not getting the DVD.

I've actually kind of lost interest over the years in many extra features. I would get something like this for the main documentary, and may never get around to all the extras anyway.

There's only 2 bluray discs. The other 2 are the dvd version of the documentary.

With that being the way it is since we get our information so quickly, I think people feel that they deserve other stuff that fast. God could only imagine if the grid went down, half of you would all die.

I'm sadden that Americans in general have this piss poor attitude. Makes me almost ashame of my country. And no I'm not going to "move to a different country" if I don't like it excuse. If anyone says that I'm sure I'm more patriotic then most here.

That being said, mine is on the way and I'll be gladly watching it in a few days.
This is how awful America is...on every issue though. Remember after 30 years of economic break down when people were mad Obama couldn't fix the economy in FOUR years??? Same thing here, only getting a blu-ray to finding a job is probably a HUGE difference for MOST people outside this site.

On the CLM...mine will be here by the weekend. I work 3pm-3:30am M-F anyways, so if it doesn't come until Saturday...oh well.

I just don't get all the complaining. I'd be willing to bet we ALL have our copies by the weekend.

Have a little patience and enjoy it when you get it I say.

A bunch of little girls forced me to leave my showing of INSIDIOUS 2 last night. I will go next weekend. I mentioned it ONCE and am done with it. I'm not going to call Sony up 30 times a day complaining.

Kids today have no idea the amount of patience it used to be.

Movie used to come out...take like 6 months to hit video...another 4-6 months to hit the MOVIE channels...and then maybe you'd get it to buy on VHS a few months later.

I still remember that was how DVD was so great at first. Movies actually came out on DVD to buy on release day.

Most people don't remember that before DVD, only Disney and Blockbusters actually came out to buy the same day they came out to rent...smaller films took an extra year to hit VHS sometimes.

We are upset because people who ordered weeks/months after those of us that ordered first have already gotten their copies or shipping notifications. Yet the rest of us are still waiting with no word. And yes I know they posted something on Facebook but really they can just say whatever they want just to lessen the amount of emails they are getting and to attempt to calm us down. I personally have not emailed them and I won't be. I still think perhaps that the emailing system is messed up. However, if Monday goes by and then Tuesday with no word...I will send an inquiry to the powers-that-be to find out what the hold up is.

My issue is simple, I ordered and paid for this item at 12:03AM on July 8th. They've had my money for over 2 months now, it is not out of line or beyond logic that I simply would like a shipping notification. So with that said, hopefully my next post on this thread will be that of a shipping confirmation alert so as to calm everyone else who ordered around the same time I did. Chances are it is just a matter of how their local post offices shipped out orders and which batches they got first.
But you guys are trying to make it out that this NEVER happens with any other company.

I believe they have multiple people doing the orders. Sadly for you, they are probably starting at different order times and hitting one by one by one. Maybe only one worker started at the start, one maybe 100 orders later, etc...

I mean I ordered the ELM STREET set from WB store in June when they stated they were in stock again. There was an issue with my shipping/billing addys not being the same so I had to call them back. By the time we sorted it out, they were back ordered again. Clearly MY copy was sent out, so I had to wait a MONTH before they even sent it out.

I got it, but I didn't harass the WB Facebook page the entire month. Asked them one time what was going on. If you all just have to wait a few extra days, isn't that better than say, 6-7 weeks???

No company is perfect.

And maybe the email system is down? I know I get updates from my library when things are due or my holds have arrived, and it hasn't sent me anything for a week now...no biggie. But nobody's perfect is what I'm saying.

Mt other point is complaining over and over on THIS site will not get your discs to you any faster.

Look at the FRIDAY box set thread. Like 200 pages of the same few members complaining part 3 wasn't in 3D and what did that accomplish? Answer: nothing!

I remember before VHS we had to rent clips of the movies on 8 mm film! We didn't even get the entire movie!

OMG again I am not complaining lol I am merely clarifying. There is a big difference to the way I write out my thoughts and the way many others do. I am not complaining about not having it already just about not having word of shipping notification. Simple point is that the process of the shipments could have been handled better. And honestly some of your replies contradict one another. You say one thing in here one day and a few days pass and then you have said something that goes against your initial thoughts. It gets confusing.

Regardless I am done, and my next post here will be info to those who want updates on shipping notices. I will come back in here to post when I get my email notice and that's it. Won't be back until then. This is too ridiculous all of these rehashed discussions. Like you said, not going to get the shipments out sooner.

The point was you just joined the site and it's doubtful you've read through my posts and you clearly didn't pay attention to what I have said in any of my posts on the subject. Multiple times I have pointed out to people the issue here is lack of communication from the team behind the release. They got our money over two months ago and if all we are asking is some form of notification from them that isn't asking much. The point of a pre-order is to give them indication how many they'll need by the time of release. So lastly all most of us are asking for is notification of that. Not once have I complained about my order not arriving ON release day. Thank you very much. Good day to you!
