Ended on 8/4. They usually have them a couple of times a year. As shipping is free over $50, it usually pays to have some saved up, and buy four at once. It's $8 shipping otherwise.

The Mask didn't age well for me. I remember it being better when I saw it as a kid.

Just watched Ice Age Continental Drift.

Great 3D and one of the popouts had me jump. Funny and touching as were the other entries I've seen.

Off topic. My pair of excelsan active 3D glasses needed recharging in the middle of the film. So put on a pair that came with the Sony. Five minutes later grabbed another of the generic ones. 3D and picture were more stronger.

So, you liked the generic 3D glasses? I could use some extra pairs for my old Panasonic, and the OEM ones are all so old now that only rarely can I find a new one whose battery will accept a charge, so I am considering alternatives. When you have a chance could you please let me know what make/model or any other info you have on your generic ones? I will probably need a different model for my TV, but at least it would be a starting point.

Oh, and back on topic: Dumbo and Boxtrolls arrived today.

Hi T,

Yes, it had a bit more punch overall. A little stronger color saturation due to improved contrast and brightness balance. This increased the depth.

I noticed it the first time I used them.

Watched Alice Through The Looking Glass. It had several moments of great 3D with mild in between. And, a couple pop outs I forgot about. After watching a couple mild movies recently this was a nice treat.

While ordering from the UK recently, I added a cheap copy of Jumanji 3D.

3D is pretty good & PQ is very nice overall. Lots of nice Hawaii landscape.

It's interesting to watch these actors try to portray role & gender swaps...

The villain is still very weak, but there's still fun to be had here on the cheap.
