After Jurassic World's astonishing performance, I'm fully expecting Star Wars Ep VII to do even better. Could even be an Avatar beater if it's got the legs to run until the summer.

I'm hoping that it hits that mark, especially because as a STAR WARS fan, it would make be giddy. It's just such a huge number. I'll be rooting for it, but it is a December release date. Long-term box-office is going to be the true money maker I think.

Spring is traditionally cinema's graveyard for new releases, so I can see Ep VII going and going and going (perhaps with Spectre and Mockingjay for company).

I know that, no matter the quality of the film, I will be seeing it a couple times in the theater in the first week at least.

I understand it's Star Wars, and I doubt it will be utter crap, but really?? On a side note, some of the rumored spoilers bother me more than anything that was done in the PT.

Indeed. I know for many of us who grew up with the original trilogy the series really ended in 1983 with Return of the Jedi. Plus when you have all three actor's just as thrilled to be back in the fold so to speak after 30 years since they last played those roles they all seem just as excited about it as us fans. That first teaser with Han & Chewie at the end 'we're home' line made many teary eyed. Plus Harrison Ford has never really been in a movie just for a paycheck. He is one of the last few genuine performers who want quality of quantity. I don't blame him for Indy 4's final product, but for him to dust off his first signature role and based on that scene in the teaser he still has that charm about him tells me this is going to be one hell of a ride. Plus Mark Hamill has already gone on record many of times stating that this new trilogy is all about the new characters and they 'classic cast' is for support only. Of course all will be revealed in a few short months to see which of the three if not all three are part of the final trilogy arc of the Skywalker story, not to mention its not often in Cinema History that any story or actor can actually give a proper send off to a beloved story or character. I have faith in JJ Abrams and hopefully the Force will be strong with this one!

This won't be the final trilogy.

I enjoy seeing spectacle cinema multiple times in the theater. I saw Mad Max 3 times within the first week. It's a STAR WARS movie. A new STAR WARS movie. Enough said.

If
[Show spoiler]Luke turns to the dark side and kills Han
I am out of all future Star Wars and will just have to watch the DS Original Trilogy from here on out.

I do have hope that the new film is great. I have been buying and reading all of the new comic series and have the books on pre-order.

A set video has been leaked (now taken down) showing Rey and Finn using their native British accents in the film.

Rey : Let go of me!

Finn : We gotta move!

They'll probably re-dub their dialog, but why bother I don't know.

Some screenhots here:

I don't think so, one is an imperial (who tend to have british accents as they are the "core world accent") and given the backstory of Jakku it's perfectly plausible for Rey to have a british accent as most human inhabitants of the planet seem to be imperials that have been "abandoned".

Where can we order these collectibles?
Just kidding, but they look pretty cool. Thanks for posting that pic.

Kylo Ren will hopefully be as much a badass as Darth Maul was. I wonder if we'll see his face or if he'll always be wearing the mask?

Finn's just a grunt and none of them spoke like a posh twat in the originals, only the officers did. (I'm not moaning about the accent in case people think that's what I'm doing, I'm just offering up a correction to the Italian investigativo.)

Finn sounded like he was using an American accent to me. It is only one line of dialogue though.

There's too much fluff being posted in this thread on a daily basis for my patience: I'm out until release date.
