Default Superman Man of Steel Custom Blu-ray Covers by Nissen

An update to my recent Superman collection.

Here are the covers for the final two films in the series, Superman Returns and Man of Steel. Available via PMs.

For those of you who already PMed me about the other covers, you'll find these in the same place.

Nice job finishing the set. Is that a Struzan poster? I thought he retired.

The Man of Steel artwork? No, that's Paul Shipper. I had to jump through hoops to get that artwork. He's made sure there are no High-rez versions of the complete art available online. I had to reconstruct this from partial images he made available here and there.

Couple of suggestions:

The titles for F&FF and Ichabod look like they are for the other films artwork.

Chicken Little is PCM (the 3D version is DTS-MA).

Could someone make me the following custom cover?
I tried, but my Photoshop skills are terrible.

I own these two BDs:

I'm sure you can understand my frustration. Why oh why not have the three Vacation movies in the same set? I switched the discs around, now I just need new covers.

Can someone please take the "Triple feature" cover and replace PT&A with Christmas Vacation (but leave the blue "triple feature" banner intact)? Also, if you can, position them in order of release date (so CV would be third instead of at the top). And do a back and spine as well.

Thanks

Default TMNT - Complete Original Series DVD set

Okay, so please humor me for a minute here. I know that this cover is for DVDs and not Blu-Rays (if these were available on Blu-Ray, I would make a corresponding version), and my "talents" are NO WHERE NEAR that of most of the other cover artists here, but here it goes anyway.

Probably well over a year and a half ago... around the time of the final season's DVD release, I made custom covers for myself for the complete original TMNT cartoon series to consolidate all of the crazy individual releases into two 12-disc cases. I think I may have posted some photos of the finished, printed result sometime ago in this thread.

Based on some requests, I went ahead and did some minor updates, and have uploaded the finished results at EuphoricFX.

Instead of making "official" looking back covers, I made them as quick reference for what discs contain which episodes. I suppose I picture these as being two cases that come with some sort of hypothetical outer box, which would have the official looking back.

The spines of the two boxes line up to make one image.

There are three "versions" of the first case, and two "versions" of the second case. The difference is really just to accommodate the slight variations of the DVD releases that have come out.

Season 1-4 Version A:

Originally seasons 1-3 were released in 6 one-disc volumes. Volume 1 had all of season 1, volume 2 had all of season 2, and volumes 3-6 contained all of season 3 and the first episode of Season 4 for some reason.

After that they switched to full fledged season sets starting with Season 4 (which contained the same episode on that last volume set).

This version reflects the volume 1-6 releases and the season 4 release:

Season 1-4 Version B:

Sometime last year (well after I had made the original incarnation of this set for myself), Lionsgate released a complete Season 3 DVD set. This was simply the volume 3-6 releases with new labels on the outer discs and in a new Season 3 case. The on-disc content is 100% identical in every way.

This version of the cover reflects that release. Also, since Volume 1 contains all of season 1 and volume 2 contains all of Season 2, I simply listed them as Season 1 and Season 2 on this version for consistency:

Season 5-10 Version A-B:

This is for the separate Season 5 through 10 releases. I called this one "A-B" since it goes with either of the above versions of the season 1-4 set.

Version C:

These two boxes are for anyone who has the complete series set that came in the Turtle Van packaging (which doesn't offer much protection for the discs).

For this release, there is an overall numbering system for all of the discs, 1-23. Each disc also has the season number listed on it. The two covers below are for that version.

All of these variations have been uploaded to Euphoric FX.

Here is a couple of pics of my original completed set from a while back, showing how the spines line up:

Heh. I should have recognized it.

I did the same to get his Batman 66 art and the various TOS Trek things he's done.

Those look really nice together, job well done! I have the Turtle Van Complete Series set, but this certainly would have been something I would have used had I not already had the van.

That whole project is shaping up pretty amazing! I'm really really liking the work you folks put in on that release. Quite stunning to be honest!

Ok over the weekend I saw a great film called The Cuckoo Patrol starring Freddie and the Dreamers. It's never been released on DVD (in the US) and will probably never see a Bluray release but I would still love a custom BluRay Cover if anyone is up to the task.

Not trying to do anything spectacular, but this is a cover I'm in the process of doing to house all the Hellraiser films.

I haven't decided what to do with the back, though.

Hey all I have searched high and low (all the cover sites I am a member of) for a custom Scarface cover using the original poster art. Has anyone seen one using this poster art?

Design notes
  • There will be 2 versions: 1-Disc Blu-ray and a 3D+2D+Digital version.
  • I was thinking about a blue border for the 2D version, but I might go with the same gold border as it fits compliments the artwork and title treatment. Alternatively I might go with a silver border and title treatment for the 2D version.
  • As said in point 1, I will initially only design the official combos, if anyone wants a different come like BD+DVD for example they can request it after I'm finished.
  • Initially I was going to let Groot extrude onto the border as well, but it made more sense for only Rocket and Starlord to do it since they're in the front of the frame.
  • Special thanks to djakrse for providing many of the assets from the film which helped me greatly with this design.

Some notes for other designs, no picture updates yet but just to let you know how far I am.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Design notes
  • Fixed some design flaws with the front artwork.
  • Border around the main image has been edited to resemble the border from the official slipcover, but in a similar illustrated design to the main artwork.
  • I now have finalized specs for the back, so I'll be moving ahead with it in the coming weeks.
  • Design should be finished by the end of August, just in time for the official BD release in the US.
  • 2D version in progress.
  • Working on inserts as well. Current version is slipcover only. Still working on making the artwork fit properly with the combo pack banner on the 3D version.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Design notes
  • Fronts for both Phase 1 and 2 are basically done for the slipcover versions, some tweaks may be done.
  • Back designs aren't finalized yet. Multiple concepts on the drawing table.
  • Converting to inserts soon, along with interior artwork for the case.
  • Multiple sizes and formats in progress as requested by some members.

Other designs are all still in progress, but I often fluctuate from cover to cover depending on my ideas. Next update for Captain America and the Marvel collection in the coming week, with maybe some updates from some other previous work in progress designs.
Care to make some alternates of all your covers which completely drops the DVD and Digital Copy/Ultraviolet features? Those are completely worthless to me. Thanks.
