Now Target and Stormtrooper, that's cross-branding synergy.
Stormtroopers couldn't hit a target either.

If the Mouse House doesn't release a trailer on Friday to go with the merch release, they will waste a golden opportunity. What better way to boost sales than to pump people up?

The full trailer is going to be a global media event...they can't save it for Thanksgiving, because it's too close to the December 18th release date...or can they?

What are the other big events in the next three months? Labor Day? Start of the NFL season? The World Series?

Seeing all these american big events in the same post as the phrase "global media event" if kinda funny.

You might not know this living in that strange little island you call Eyetally (I think)... but the entire universe revolves around the awesomeness that is the USA.

After all we have important dignitaries like the Kardashians and Paris Hilton, the rest of the world just can't compete with that.

The first teaser was on Thanksgiving 2014, a U.S. holiday, the release of which was a Global Media Event in that entertainment sites and audiences across the planet followed it, watched it, and commented on it.

The second teaser was 11 days after Easter at the U.S. SW Celebration.

The behind the scenes teaser was 6 days after the 4th of July at the U.S. San Diego Comic Convention.

The full trailer will orbit some large holiday or event. And the release will become a global event. It could be this weekend...you know...three-day holiday weekend for Labor Day and all.

The trailer releases always coincide with a big event in America so we can expect the next one to be the same. But that's not why they're always a global media event though, it's just because it's Star Wars.

If I'm not mistaken the final theatrical trailers usually released around 2-3 months before the release date. So this Friday is possible, otherwise at least before mid-October. Then the TV spots will start to roll out.

Tomorrow they start selling the new toys so this weekend seems like a strong possibility.

Domhnall Gleeson must be loving that he's the only person who's face is showing in that poster.

You know what, it's possible that none of the young leads in The Force Awakens have any relationship with the Skywalkers or any of the original characters. It's a new awakening. Only in Episode VIII we will meet a Skywalker or a Solo, possibly as Finn's love interest and Rey might turn to the dark side. It will be unexpected.

But have to keep in mind though, the fact that they're still didn't reveal Rey's and Finn's last names is suspicious.

Not very "vader" at all, its much closer to the original WW2 Nazi helmets. The back part is much higher and almost identical to the Nazi ones.

Yeah, but considering it's a Star Wars movie, it's more related to Vader than WW2 Nazis.

Also, I'm really excited about this movie, but am I the only one that feels that BB-8 is to Star Wars what Poochie was to The Simpsons? I mean, look at him in that pic with R2 and 3PO. He looks so out of place to me, and feels like he's taking on the role of R2 in this movie. And while it's awesome that they built him for real, he just looks a tad silly to me. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised and proven wrong!
