This sounds familiar, a Florida State football player is under investigation for assaulting a female:

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is under investigation for the battery of a 21-year-old woman outside of a Tallahassee bar on June 23.

State Attorney Willie Meggs said Friday he has not brought any charges against Cook at this time, but the matter is still being reviewed.

In a heavily redacted police report obtained by the Tallahassee Democrat, the victim was listed as intoxicated and suffered minor abrasion/bruises from the incident, which occurred outside of Clyde's & Costellos on South Adams Street.

Cook was Florida State's leading rusher last season with 1,008 yards.

All of the NCAA e-mails, at least as they pertain to just Todd McNair's role in the Reggie Bush scandal, were finally released yesterday, Wednesday, July 15, 2015. To wit:

The original suggested penalties were supposed to be a ONE-year post-season ban and the loss of SIX scholarships over TWO seasons with a limit of 82 scholarship players over those two years.

Under the heavy influence of two non-voting members of the NCAA Committee of Infractions, the near-death penalties that were actually levied against USC were a two-year post-season ban and the loss of 30 scholarships over three seasons with a limit of 75 scholarship players over those three years.

The NCAA is a morally-bankrupt institution and needs to pay dearly for their massive screw up.

I agree and not that it means much but 4 of the top 5 teams in the preseason poll made the playoffs. 1 FSU, 2 Bama, 3 OU, 5 tOSU.

Unfortunately, they aren't. These preseason rankings do things like affect the perceived SOS of teams for the entire season.

When does ESPN College Gameday schedule where they'll telecast at/from, do they do it now or just do it a week in advance? I'm hoping and wanting ESPN to bring GD to Louisville if not this year then next.

Usually the location is announced about a week prior to Gameday, with the announcement usually coming late Saturday night or Sunday morning. Looking at Louisville's home schedule I'd say it's highly unlikely Gameday would come there this year. The only home game that would be potentially be worthy of Gameday is Clemson, and that is a Thursday game.

Looking at the schedule, I think FSU @ GT on October 24 would be the favorite for Gameday that week.
