Star Trek generations, soran blows up a star and destroys a system. Not that impressive.

I have a "good" feeling about this:

Star Wars The Force Awakens is going to make history at the Box Office, and in toy sales omg...

BTW: BB-8 is SO much fun, and REALLY well-made. The 10-year-old in me, and my 10-year-old had some roll-on-the-floor goodtimes all afternoon with BB-8 up until bedtime. GET ONE!

That bloody watch is going to be a nightmare with lap dances and strippers.

It sounds neat, and I'm looking forward to seeing it in action. I love the upstageyness of it too. "How do we outdo a superweapon capable of destroying planets? One that destroys entire star systems!"

Let's hope it doesn't keep escalating until we get the Galaxy Crusher in the next trilogy.

I think he maybe isn't fond of the idea of the weapon itself. Or not, just guessing.

One of the secrets of the Force has been uncovered. It actually uses John Williams' music to tell the presence of someone.

This is the design for The Sun Crusher from the expanded universe.... I wonder if their super weapon will be similar and or bigger than this.

It took 3 years but my wife is finally coming around. Last night, we went to Target to check out the new SW gear and she found herself caught up in it, loved the BB-8 display, loved seeing the parents watching their kids get excited about Star Wars and to top the experience off, she bought herself a retro Star Wars T-Shirt to wear to the film when it comes out.

Plus I got my picture taken with the Chewie marquee.

It's 30 years later - it's easy to assume something happened and it's most likely 99.9% unimportant to the events of The Force Awakens. If you have a friend you've known for decades, and he's had a prosthetic arm for a while, you're not going to one day say, "hey, remember when you lost your arm and got a new one?" It would most likely be clunky exposition to add in a line addressing the red arm for those in the audience who are wondering, "why is C-3PO's arm red now?"

Sure, it was probably done to sell new C-3PO toys (how else are you going to spruce up C-3PO and make him look different?), but it is 30 years later and we've seen him fall to pieces before. He's old, and this shows they've had adventures during those 30 years.

It's cool that they're putting out some background comics, though. Those should be interesting.
I don't know why, but I get the feeling the red arm is a symbol of rank, not a spare part. Threepio with power...like Don Knotts in Mayberry.

Red is used for Diplomats in the Star Wars universe, it's possible Threepio is now a Diplomatic Droid.

That would fit. He's very political and a bit self-centered.

My Target's shelves were empty. I actually felt sorry for the kids that were walking around with their parents because there wasn't anything there.
