Ok, well let me just put these things here.

Short Form
Mobile Focused
Screen time
Self regulated screen time
Government/state regulated screen time
Attention spans
Cloud based broadcasting/Object Based Broadcasting

I just want to leave this stuff here without comment. Just for the record. I will discuss in the future as it all becomes apparent.

I will also remind you guys of the times you mocked me incessantly about these topics.

What you actually mean is that should any of your patently paranoid worries ever occur, you will come back to gloat with an avalanche of "I told you so" comments. Gracious, you ain't.

When you post the same nonsense incessantly, you have to expect the responses that you get. You do plenty of "mocking" yourself, but you conveniently only remember the instances when you are on the receiving end of it.

The government regulations are one of the most ridiculous predictions. You clearly have no idea how either of our governments work if you think they can institute screen time regulations and all of the people and corporations will just accept it.
Object BasedBroadcasting is coming within 2-3 years. It will have grave consequences unless you have a awful attention span.

There you go, you read it here first.

It's coming and it may be popular, but it won't take over. It's just another form of media.

It's your same argument time and time again. Whenever anyone talks about a new form of media you think that it will completely destroy traditional movies.

It is worth noting that ALL of Steedeel's predictions are as BAD as they are without merit.

Every piece of trivia that he posts becomes a launchpad for predictions about the utter end and ruination of something that he values. Nothing he posts objectively supports any of these dark, dire, and disastrous premonitions.

Not only are they without any foundation in fact, he can not even tell us when they will happen unless pressed. When pressed he usually picks a date 10 years in the future, so that he can continue to claim that "time will tell."

Worse still, and he has been asked this MANY times and he never answers this essential question: If his predictions were likely to happen, what EXACTLY are we supposed to do about them? He never offers us any hope as to how we can prevent the horrific future that he alone foretells.

His predictions are open ended; if a deadline passes, he just makes up a new one.

His predictions are fate; they can not be stopped.

So, what are we supposed to do with all of this? Live in ceaseless fear like he does, wringing our hands until they bleed, and await an inevitable apocalyptic doom for the future of home video?

I think not. I enjoy my life on a daily basis and I plan to enjoy tomorrow just as much if not more. I see a future filled with wonder, promise, and joy. Home video options are awesome now; they will only be more so tomorrow.

So much for "I just want to leave this stuff here without comment."

You can never do any such thing.

Yeah, well it’s hard to talk about the future without mentioning, you know, the future?

[Show spoiler]Clue, it’s in the thread title.

Quite the man of your word, ain't ya?

I'm pretty sure that I am allowed to use most of the words in our lexicon, even without your express permission.

Still more comments! That's four now, and likely counting, since you emphatically declared:

"I just want to leave this stuff here without comment."

The only future that you ever "mention" is a dreary depressing one uniquely envisioned by your bizarre mind alone.

You should try reading that post that you quoted with actual comprehension sometime. And where's your answer to that question that you ALWAYS avoid? What are we supposed to do about the cruel fate awaiting us all? Fret and fume until we become a walking talking ulcer like yourself?

Living in fear is your choice and yours alone. The rest of us are enjoying life and we will be enjoying it in the future no matter how hard you try to rain on our parade.

You remind me of this Saturday Night Live character becuase you are the ultimate:

So it's okay for you to speculate about what he might or might not know but the rest of us should let him speak for himself?

That's... convenient.

As much as his thinking and memory are both so very convenient, you'd think he'd hold digital in higher regard as he clearly values convenience.

Octagon was right. I know what object-based broadcasting is and I'm not afraid it's going to replace all other broadcasting, physical media, and streaming. Just like I'm not afraid that mobile videos are going to replace TVs and I'm not afraid that short videos are going to replace long videos.

The home media market is gigantic. It can and will support lots of different tastes.
