I am wondering how does this have 5/5 for picture quality I thought it was toooooooooo dark , thoughts ....

Still disappointed went back to look at 3d trailer on the underworld awakening 3d blu ray and it was much more vivid and looked much better in the open matte format. I want a rerelease!! Add back that cut pov footage also!!

i also thought it was a little dark but the rest was pretty good imo

The blu-ray perfectly represents what I saw in theaters. You're asking for a rerelease that looks like a trailer that probably had boosted contrast or brightness. The movie is dim. And it doesn't loose any clarity or sharpness because of it, hence the perfect score.

Did you see my screen captures a few pages back? It is indeed dim, but I didn't even notice until after I had watched the movie and took the captures.

From what I remember your screen caps looke darker than my copy is. Can you post a link?

Ok, nevermind. I thought you posted pics where buildings in the background were much darker than screen caps from a review. May have been someone else. Yes, the digital photography is darker than most would expect. The film itself is dark, so the cinematography visually replicates the tone of the film as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, I posted that comparison as well. Mine looked slightly darker than the review's. I am thinking someone used screen captures from the 3D disc instead of the 2D disc since they are generally brighter to combat the brightness lost from looking through the glasses.

It doesn't always happen. Sometimes it goes back up and stays up for quite a while until it eventually drops in price completely/permanently. It's too much of a guessing game these days.

That batch of screenshots the other guy posted highlights a problem I hadn't realized this movie suffers from: annoying yellow and blue filters. Why must Hollywood attempt to strip all natural colors from the world?

I love the movie anyway, but what an annoying trend that is.

The screencaps posted here look darker than it does on my system. Looks great to me.
