Somebody should make a new thread with that in the OP. Most of the OP links are dead at that point anyhow.

ok, had a bit of time here this evening to mess with tcm cover. moved the armadillo to the center of the front. changed the font on the front and spine. deleted the saw cutting threw texas on top of spine, and added a sawblade and shadow on the back to give a spot for plot, extras, stuff like that.

anyway, i blurred the saw to give the image of being out of focus, as if leatherface was standing there on the side of the road casting the a bit of a shadow, and you are looking at the van from a low pov.

i know the sun is facing him, lol, and the shadow should be cast the other way, lol. just trying to make it seem like you are aware that he is watching.

Loving that Chainsaw cover. I'd maybe have the actual saw itself less black/shadowy but it's beautiful.

I hope someone puts something together for The Rover. As per usual, the retail artwork is pretty meh.

Something I was messing around with to try some different things that came out better than I expected, so decided to keep it...

God Bless Warner for its Archive Collection.

I waited for years for releases of movies such as "Zeppelin" (1971), "Triple Cross" (1967), "Sphinx" (1980) and Christopher Lee's "Face of Fu Manchu" on DVD and they finally arrived as part of the Archive Collection. It's good to see that the collection is extended into Blu-ray.

Good cover RG for a classic comedy.

Thanks. Very flattering coming from you. Almost makes staying up after midnight to finish it on a work night worth it.

Almost.

ok, chainsaw WIP has been started. set up for a 15mm 4 disc set case. if peeps wanna throw some ideas at me, i'm more than welcome to try and accommodate them into the cover.

How did you replicate the background for the back of the cover?

Personally I would leave it as empty as possible.. it's such a great poster, to put photos or stills on the back would ruin it. Classic retro font, synopsis and a list of the special features and technical details would be perfect.

ah ha, my secret, lol.

actually i have a program called "Inpaint", which is awesome for removing pieces from pictures while taking the surrounding area and recreating something as close as possible. so i removed the armillo, the van, and the sun, and a couple of little things, then flipped the picture horizontally so the road would meet in the same place and Bob's your Uncle.

here is the link to their site https://www.theinpaint.com/ and here is a quick youtube video showing it at work. although this is an older version of the program, it still works the same. good stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roo4z...ature=youtu.be

as for leaving it blank, i have been thinking about making a couple of different versions, one with the saw and one without. i am a simple layout style kinda guy as well, lol.

For what it's worth, count me in the 'simple layout kinda guy' group as well. I do always love seeing alternate versions as well though, granting the artist doesn't lose pieces of their sanity getting there...

Those are awesome!
I think the white ones go great with the original trilogy but I think the dark ones go best with the prequels

I'd like to to put together a custom case for Sex And The City complete series with this cover:
http://www.hirescovers.net/gallery/d...e.php?pid=7522

Does anyone out there know of a single case I could used for the 19 disc set? I've scoured the internet but all I find are 12 disc cases, and it looks like other people have used this cover art for a single case set according to the reviews of the cover art...
