Very first post for The Ninth Configuration looks nice. Second looks as though it'll eat up tons of black toner, and this third one looks nice and retro. If I had a choice between the first and third, the third one wins by a bit. Why? It appears as though it harkens back to the high quality film poster cover artwork of the VHS & Laserdisc era. More Laserdisc though since I have seen many VHS of horror films which looked hap-hazardly put together.
Maybe the image for the first be the reverse image of the third? With the text following the side of the building.

EDIT: The third one would most certainly make me want to rent it out of curiousity and of course William Peter Blatty ak.a. author of The Exorcist.

yeah, i was thinking that as well. im going to try and mess around with it this weekend and try some different stuff.

i can't say enough about this film though. love it. have watched it well over 100 times. hell, even ripped the audio and listened to it on my mp3 player on flights, lol. the whole movie is uploaded on youtube in segments. you should watch a couple of segments just to check it out.

Spent a few hours on this one tonight. I've been wanting to replace the imported UK cover since I got it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Not bad, but here's a few pointers...

1) You need to mess with the hues on the title logo, so the front and spine versions match. Right now, the spine is darker than the front, and also has more red in it.

2) All of your back images look soft and dark; it would be better to use Blu-Ray screencaps, and crop them to the square size you want.

3) I don't know what size image you started with for the front panel, but it also looks fairly soft. Here's one from my collection, if you need it...

Moonwalker is one of my only imports. It's been one of my favorites since I was 5. I still have my VHS with the cover taped together from me carrying it around as a kid. It has a piece of tape with my name on it lol.

Thanks for the feedback, I actually used a different image than the one used for the front cover to obtain the spine text. The poster I used for the spine text didn't have as many stars, I guess I should have just tried to remove them from the original (and higher resolution) image I used for the front. I'll tweak the cover later tonight by correcting the spine text and see about capturing my own screen caps for the back images.

Also, thanks to everyone else who left feedback!

Lol, I still have my VHS too, and my region locked DVD which I no longer have a player capable of playing. I really wish the had used the original poster and not elements of it for the official covers, and the rating logos on the front and spine always irked me.

Made a few edits, the screencaps on the back were actually BD stills already, but my son really thought I should replace on of the pics with an MJ/Spike image. Any comments/feedback are welcome. For the full resolution image send me a PM. Thanks!

Bump. Any takers? I'd be willing to negotiate a few for the work...

Could someone provide an HQ scan of the old Fright Night DVD front cover (see below)? It is very close to the cover of the German Blu which sadly does not have a reversible cover.

are you talking just of the front, like you have pictured, or the whole case? either way, here is a HQ copy of the front. http://www.cartelespeliculas.com/gal...3p86004017.jpg

Thanks for the link, but this is the theatrical poster. The DVD cover has a different layout (different font color, name of actors, etc.)
