My brother plays this; it's basically your typical 3-hour tabletop miniature war game simulator, but with plastic Star Wars miniatures instead of cardboard chits representing tanks or fighter planes.

Fantasy Flight churns out a lot of their own art assets for their licensed games which aren't based on anything in the films.

If The Force Awakens was released soon after The Return of the Jedi in the mid-1980s:

Kylo Ren played by Tom Hulce
Rey played by Diane Lane
Poe played by Emilio Estevez
Finn played by Laurence Fishburne
Captain Phasma played by Brigitte Nielsen

I've seen so many films this summer in the theatre but they've yet to show a SW trailer in theatres, really annoying.

I work in a cinema and can confirm it was only played infront of films for about 2 weeks. I dont think disney want it all over the place yet, wait until the proper trailer is released. it will be everywhere

I only got to see it in the cinema a few weeks ago when I saw Ant-Man, was expecting it before Age of Ultron but nothing.

I had the same thing until Ant-Man came out, after which every IMAX movie I saw had the trailer attached to it.

Little off-topic but apparently Mark Hamil almost died over the weekend while climbing a mountain on an Irish Island:

The quick-thinking by a guide from the Irish Office of Public Works caught him, saving his life. Thank the Heavens that he's safe.

If Hamill had died his death would have been followed by Disney execs jumping from windows. Glad he is alright.

Sounds like that was last year. Crazy that they kept that under wraps.

I just looked at the date on the article. I wasn't aware that this happened last year. Are you sure about that?

A few questions/thoughts on Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

Since this film is expected to be huge, do you think it will surpass Avatar for Domestic and International Gross at the box office? I know this won't matter to most people, but I am curious if most people are expecting this to be the case or if it will just gross a lot like the prequels did.

Also, do most people think this film will be better than the prequels? Or even better yet, do most people expect it to be on par with the original trilogy?

I noticed with the merchandise so far very little features Luke, Han Solo or Princess Leia. I wonder if that means they will only be in the film briefly like Leonard Nimoy was in Abrams' Star Trek. If that is true, I am not so sure I like that because I would much rather have more of them than new unfamiliar characters. But that is just me.

Either way, if I decicde to go see this, I want it to be good and not a repeat of what is oike the prequels.
