3? I've been getting by with just 1 being that it's an exotic it has only been a special case weapon for me. But now you have me thinking I need 2 more lol. I guess I might as well since it's only 17 SC so I'll certainly use it more not having to swap it. I haven't had it drop again after the 1 time a couple months back, but bet me that if I buy 2 I'll have 3 more drop before the end of next week... and I still don't have a Gillybjorn. *sigh*

Looks like my wife picked a terrible weekend for us to be out of town. Thunderlord and Obsidian Mind helmet. Two things I'd really like to have.

I know this doesn't help you right away, but this is a good reason to have a Vita. You can remote in to your PS4 and play Destiny (or other games that support remote play), providing you have it on stand by and have an internet connection from where you're staying, and also of course the disc in the drive. I've used it several times for Xur while we've been out of town, using my phone as a wifi hotspot.

EDIT: Just note though, it can be a bandwidth hog, so I don't actually play the game outside of tower/character management if I'm using my phone hotspot. I tested it one time with my phone and completed a patrol cosmodrome bounty, and it took almost 1 GB of my 3 GB plan.

That's a good idea. I will try getting someone to log in for me and buy it. I've only got two friends that play Destiny but if they can't do it, I would trust several of the guys here that I play with on a regular basis. Thanks again.

I'd only considered buying one if I can find someone to log in for me to get it. It seems very situational. As someone who owns one, do you find yourself moving it around a lot? Enough to justify owning multiples?

Well if you need a raid tonight I'm helping a couple noobs through VoG and Crota. They have done a run or two each but that's it. More than welcome to join in if you want. ( I could use a couple more experienced people to keep my sanity lol).

I haven't moved it around much. It has mostly stayed with my Hunter (being the weakest armored) as an "oh $hit" weapon. Outside of that, I've moved it around primarily for weekly and nightfall that were strictly arc burn. It was awesome on the knight majors and witches in one of the Phogoth nightfalls that was arc burn. It's also great on the pesky Captains on Sepiks, Archon, and Omnigul strikes. It's like 4-5 shots and they're done. But outside of that I haven't used it much as it takes an exotic slot. I'm sure I'd use it more if I had one on each of my characters, but I'd say that's more a luxury than a necessity. I'd say for sure get one if you don't have it, and only buy multiples if you have extra coin which is really the only reason why I'm thinking of getting a couple more.

Hunger of Crota has to have the worst tracking of all the homing RLs.

Last weekend during IB, I had a 3 rocket engagement in Shores of time w/ another guy who also had a Hunger. 1 on 1. All three of our rockets missed the other, and all we were doing was jumping around. In the end, we were both picked off by sniper rounds.

And I've never seen the cluster bombs do any damage.

I hate that weapon with a passion. I use some other legendary RL that has homing and third eye now.

Then again, I have a Gjally, so maybe Im just comparing.

Hell yeah 3. I had more than enough coins to purchase it thrice. Plus, I've wanted Thunderlord for a while now.

After researching the Thunderlord Machine-gun I decided to buy that weapon. It is pretty damn good and I think it will do well in the Crucible.

Yesterday I did get a LDR 5001 from the cryptarch, not a bad sniper rifle at all.



Once I get settled in to my new home in two weeks, I will hit you guys up on help for VOG.

On last week's nightfall, we had Omnigul down to a sliver of health, but she had full shields. I figured it would take 2 Hunger rockets, however not realizing I only had 1 in the chamber with Hunger, I tried to fire the 2nd and went into reload. I saw her shields go down from the 1st rocket and started panicking cause of the reload. Then the cluster bombs went off and she was done.

So yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree with that cluster bombs statement.
