I actually had to go through my amazon PO that I (thankfully) forgot to cancel

made it a ton easier to get it sent to him too!

Got it. Sounds like 80 dollars is the bargain of a lifetime then.

Not a bargain, but a price collectors are willing to pay for a most awaited title. A lot of us ordered for $55 from Amazon.

Yep... pretty much.

$55.98= + $6.98(Shipping) + $11.31=(Import Fees Deposit To Canada) =$74.27

I know it was Expensive, but I'm happy about this Title in my collection finally

I think it's a really nice gesture for people to club together and buy somebody an expensive movie (although it's a bit odd of them to then thank that user for 'allowing' it...?), but I also agree that the prior eye-rolling attitude is slightly at odds with that. But at the end of the day, I doubt any of us really care that much outside of typing a few characters into our computers, so... fly free? Or something.

My bad. Great job either way. You secured one, that's what counts.

People have been waiting yearrrrrs for this, and it was cool hooking a dude up who will appreciate this set front to back up and down and not just have another trophy for their shelf to try and impress girls they will never kiss.
Yeah, it's getting re-released (as speculated), so it was all a big deal for nothing.

Thanks yeah sorry I was a bit rude but I was jealous that they were getting it and didn't even see it and I love the movie and couldn't. Sorry everyone.

I hooked up tommy with some free movie money and will be on the look out for more deals for everyone plus will be paying them back.

But it's been a long three years for us fans, not knowing for sure. I personally never saw any remote guarantees that it would ever get (re)released anywhere on BD again. Trust me, I'm greatly relieved by the news of all the upcoming releases. Now we can stress out about Part 2. I always kind of preferred that one myself.

Of all the weird things I've ever read on this forum (or anywhere online for that matter), seeing a group of people thank someone for allowing to buy them a copy of an $80 limited edition NIGHTBREED Blu-Ray is right up there.

Some people are more proud than others. It isn't always easy for someone to ask for or accept help. I always consider it a privilege to be able to do so. And ultimately giving can be the most selfish of acts - after all, if it didn't feel good, a lot of people wouldn't do it. Though some people give simply because it's the right thing to do. Levels of giving are a concept common in both Judaic and Buddhist scriptures, but surely this is not the place to discuss that. Simply put, I consider people my friends because I choose to care for them, not because they take care of me. I find more satisfaction in the former, but as you implied, perhaps I'm a bit odd. I'm quite okay with that.

No need to pay us back. It is our pleasure.

This. Some people get insulted when simply asked about such things. One of my friends won't ever let anyone pay for his meal or buy him a drink.

You can still get it from shoutfactory.com or try your luck with Best Buy, B&N, Blowitoutahere, etc.

I was on my hols when this got listed on amazon - had little to no Internet access during holiday in West Wales (UK). So came back to find amazon orders gone already. I already had accounts with a few online sites, so have done an order with B&N (I know, I know) and an order with DVDPacific (even more I know, I know! haha)
Hopefully one of these will ship this to me in the UK.
I did think of adding an amazon.ca order too as a third backup, but I'm hoping one of my two will win through. If not, then it wasn't meant to be
