That's Barbara Bouchet from Don't Torture a Duckling, Amuck, Black Belly of the Tarantula,, etc.

Yes, I got mine today! So if you don't have a shipping notice but you ordered on opening day, yours is probably on the way after all.

Why do people come to a forum there for communicative purposes and then always seem to forget that that's what it's there for (even while they themselves are using it for that very thing)?
That's a great point, Ash. The "whiners" (oh, the irony) just come in to give a status update every so often and may express displeasure with the fact they, like me, ordered over 2 months ago and still haven't received an email. Or they, like me, were charged $10 for "International Shipping" and cannot even contact the company.

The company having NO WORKING EMAIL ADDRESS is ridiculous. It is unacceptable. A million times over the real whiners (IE - the "quit crying" cry babies) have said, "Their email is full because so many people are emailing them about not getting a shipping notice." Well, I emailed them prior to release date because I was charged $10 extra and both of their email addresses were full.

They have given dead email addresses to Paypal as their contact info. This is a BAD business practice, PERIOD. Paypal's policy is to give a WORKING email address and WORKING phone number to contact. They gave neither (a number to their distributor, for some reason).

But anyway, back to your point -- People wouldn't be repeating this stuff over and over again if there weren't a few people (one in particular) that RUSH in every couple of hours to say, "stop crying, it won't make your blu-rays get here faster." Then the people who weren't "crying" feel the need to respond to the fact some stranger online is scolding them like a parent scolds a toddler and it turns into a vicious circle. A circle started by the "anti-whining" crowd whining at every single person who has a valid complaint.

Again, the irony.

Just received a shipping email. I ordered from CLM because I thought this wouldn't be available anywhere else until October and because I thought it wouldn't be available at a significant discount elsewhere. I guess I was wrong on both accounts seeing as Amazon and Barnes and Noble are already shipping these. I wish I had waited and purchased from Barnes and Noble when they had it listed for $18. I'm glad I'm getting the bonus disc, but I wouldn't have paid the extra $12 for it.

Admittedly I was not quite alive when Friday the 13th 3D came out (I was born in the year of The Final Chapter), but some of my friends saw a showing of an original print years ago and it was indeed in the blue/red 3D format, which is definitely NOT still used today. The blue/red 3D is the type presented on the Blu Ray.

Am I to understand that Paramount didn't actually use the actual 3D print for the Blu Ray and instead manufactured a "fake" 3D image? If that is true, then I will take back what I said.
Yes. That is what you are to understand. Paramount used the image from one eye in the DVD and WB stuck with it for the blu-ray and then "doubled" it in that cheap "red and blue" 3D way that everyone hates.

The movie did NOT have blue and red glasses at the theater. Each viewer received tinted grey glasses that were pretty much identical to the ones you get now with RealD. I know, as I saw it a couple weeks after it released (still haven't told my parents as I was WAY too young and my uncle snuck me in).

The 3D was some of the best I ever saw (the stuff popping out of the screen is, to this day, hands down the best I have ever saw in a film). And for your information even older films such as Creature From the Black Lagoon, House of Wax, etc. etc. used the 3D we have now and that is why THEIR blu-rays come with the proper TRUE HD 3D. What WB did with the third disc for F13 is unforgivable.

I'd truthfully sell. The value is likely going to drop when the people who ordered it through the mail and didn't attend the signing get their copies. I know if I was at the signing and saw them going for this much, I'd have mine up on eBay that second. I feel bad for the people who DID have this ordered but then canceled to "save money" when they weren't happy with the people signing. Cost them about $100 in "pocket change" to not just keep the order and auction it off.

I can't believe how much this irritates me. The company made it clear that paying a bunch extra would get us the discs first and Amazon and other retailers wouldn't get it in 'til October 8th. If I was a more litigious man I'd bring a class action against 1428 for false-advertising as they have made and broken more promises with this release than I've ever experienced with any company -- esp. regarding a blu-ray or DVD.

Aren't these supposed to come with a slipcover? Because every picture ad I see of this looks like it has one.

Like many of you, I had yet to receive a shipping notiifcation from the CLM website. Just checked my email and found a shipping notification!!! Email was from "smartin" saying "CAV Distributing has sent you a package". It did NOT go into my spam folder.

Check your emails, maybe others are getting them too?

Awesome! Can't wait to get home from work and see if it arrived. Actually, gonna call and see if the girlfriend's home and can run to the mailbox and check.

Would LOVE to watch the first disc tonight before GTAV takes over all of my free time.

Even the one they've been using on their site. More misleading BS from 1428. I really hate these guys.

I may technically receive this today (for all I know). I haven't received a shipping email despite ordering immediately when the pre-order went up. But, even if I get this today, it's being delivered to my other residence which is a thousand miles away. So, assuming I don't ask people to now ship it to me here, I'll have to wait at least another month or two to watch it. I'm not in a particular hurry about it but I'm glad to hear people are finally getting theirs whether they received a shipping email or not.
