I guess you can say that I am starting to figure the game out. I was able to beat the Cleric in one try and now have most of the shortcuts unlocked. I also purchased the Kirkhammer and will now go after Father Gascoigne, who was actually the first boss that I encountered.

Now that I know my way around Central Yharman, the game has gotten easier.

Any tips? Thoughts? Is the Kirkhammer worth a damn?

When Father's health gets low, try throwing Moltovs at him.

The kirkhammer has great strength & durabilty. Only downside is it uses a lot of stanima when in tricked form, otherwise it's a fast weapon. As you progress you'll find every weapon has similar pro's & con's so there really is no "bad" weapon.

When leveling up, you'll want Vitality, Skill & Strength more so then other attributes. If you get real lost, don't hesitate to look around the net. A few locations are very well hidden & some contain optional bosses, attire, etc..

Derb which weapon would you recommend that I own the chalice dungeons with? (I have all of the weapons except for Beast Claw)

I'm thinking between the saw cleaver +10 or level up the hunter axe, since its 2 handed charged attack is strong

I'd go with Hunter Axe. It's easier to find better Blood Gems for it & has excellent range attack. Charging time of the weapon is probably equal to the Holy Blade & other weapons but you get the extra bonus swing.

I regret putting my last +10 on the Burial Blade.

I'm stuck on cursed defiled Pthumeru boss #1. Fetid, rotten, cursed Ihyll boss #1 and Ailing Loran root, fetid and rotten Abhorrent Beast. The other two bosses are Pthumerian Elder and the cannon giant. Cannon giant is in really close confines. You can't back away anyway or he two shots you. That one I can probably eventually get, since I have a full health bar. The other two are insane. I don't know that I have enought material to make another dungeon I have not already played.

id say stamina is far more important than vitality .... being able to attack and role more is better than being able to take more hits.....

I capped my stamina first. I agree. The idea is to not get hit.

And as for weapons, there is no best weapon. If you prefer a weapon that does a lot of damage per hit, go with the axe or something big and slow like that. I have no regrets about making my saw cleaver, a fast weapon, and regular pistol both +10s. A pistol +10 and bone marrow ash is the best combination for finishing off bosses. And learning to parry and riposte is extremely helpful.

My bad, I forgot. Late night.

I'd say it's second most important attribute. Easier to find Runes that increase Stanima then Vitality.

Ok. This is the last boss of Cursed Defilement with Fetid and Rotten applied. Not too bad. Timing of my parries was a little off, but I had enough time to regain all of my health during the stun time, so it was no matter. I'm still working on the first boss of Ihyll with cursed, fetid and rotten applied. I've done better than half dead and made a mistake. I can take one hit, but not get stepped on. And I have to keep my health bar full or all hits are death.

For the benefit of those just starting out, I'm level 177 now. I'm still using a normal saw clearver (+10) and the normal pistol (+10), my starting weapons. I'm wearing the full bone ash outfit that you can purchase later in the game. Character stats as equipped are shown, too.

I did that Dungeon if you mean the Root Chalice but I didn't add any offerings & my health was not cut in half.

So I guess adding Fetid & Rotten makes your health cut. Hmm.

I finished up 2 Dungeons yesterday.

Ailing Loran Depth 4 Root with Fetid & Rotten.
Pthumeru Ihyll Depth 5 with Fetid & Rotten.

Next am gonna start Lower Ailing Depth 5 Root with Fetid & Rotten.

I'm basically on a mission to get the Waning Gem (6) which is only found in Ailing. I'm hoping since it's a Depth 5 there will also be other good drops.

I'd like to re-try all Sinister Dungeons with Arcane Haze offerings. Wiki says adding that is for invading players. I am thinking it adds more Bell Ringers?

I think I was unclear. The video is cursed defilement, automatically half HP. I made Ihyll cursed, so it's the same. Cursed cuts HP in half. I did sinister Hintercombs, but I was offline. It adds a sinister bell ringer, if you are online, which invites invaders, just like summoning help in the main game. Fetid and rotten create more enemies that glow red or purple and drop better gems more frequently.

Right now, I'm stuck because I don't have enough Tomb Mold (5) to create any dungeons that I have not already beaten.

HP vial up increases the number of HP healed by a blood vial.

I keep promising myself to quit playing this game, but I can't.

So here's a question.

If another player creates a dungeon and finds a very nice treasure, then shares that dungeon, do we all get that treasure, or are the treasures randomized? I'd guess enemy drops are randomized, for sure.

lol, yes the game can be addictive.

Ok, so Sinister offerings are only effective when online..

It was Cursed & Defiled Chalice.. (Remember now ) that did not cut my health in half.

Best Tomb Mold (5) farm I found,

Create the first Great Isz Chalice ( Never close chalice )
After you beat the first boss, return to hunter's dream.
If you have Runes which add more items, equip them.
Return to Layer 1 Great Isz Chalice.
When you spawn, drop down below & you'll see 8 or so rats.
Sometimes you get nothing but keep returning to hunter's dream & Rinse/repeat.
Sometimes Bold Hunters Mark works & is faster for farming.
I can usually get 15 Tomb Mold (5)'s under an hour.

According to the farm Ritual Blood (5) method, I'd say materials in chests are not randomized but Weapons, Runes, & Gems are according to Wiki.

Wow this strategy guide is massive. Helped me already. I had no idea about the cave in forbidden forest. Finally was abke to move on some today. Guide has a breakdown about insight and what it affects as well. Didnt really read it much yet

There is a spreadsheet on reddit and some other sites where the community keeps tabs of the dungeons they have created and the glyph to get to them. If u already created one of those dungeons in ur game u can join them with no material needed.

That's the same enemy as the giant who carries a cannon, but without the cannon. I'm still stuck on that guy in Ihyll layer 1, in an identical room.

So if you created the dungeon you then have the right to use the glyph..

Everyone I tried by glyph search says I do not meet the requirements.
