If so, I believe that censorship cut has never made it to a home video release. HOWEVER, it is floating around the web (can't vouch for the zoomed-in/unzoomed bit, but the missing gore is present). The real question is: where did THAT footage come from if not from a Blu-ray?

Hmm...

I saw it that way in the theater. So maybe the pics on the net are from someone pirating what was shown in theaters. I sure hope it makes it way to home video some day. I love the film and I can't not notice its absence when I revisit it.

The actual footage is available online.

But that's fascinating-- this was a version after test screenings? If so, then it might've been a digital copy that hadn't been cut. Which would also explain its HD availability on the web.

I just got this set in now from Amazon and all of the codes worked fine.

Make sure you redeem at fox redeem.com so you can use iTunes for 4K and connect your Movies Anywere account to that.

I totally forgot to do this and my iTunes Copy for Alien is only HD .
