I think the onus is on Cheezy, not MVD, to acquire the rights to the titles they produce.

Yeah, like no joke. Sword and the Sorcerer. Literally shocked nobody has released this yet on Blu. I think it's been almost 18 years since it was released on DVD by Anchor Bay.

Add The Barbarians (1987) to your list. No US Blu release. Beastmaster could use an upgrade from it's initial release.

How about Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time. It never even got a DVD release. Saw it with a friend in the theater way back during the week or so it was out. Would actually be pretty excited for a Blu-ray release with special features.

The Barbarians is with Warner in the US. However, given Shout's relation with them and given it's a title Warner never put out themselves, it is a possibility provided SF's next deal with Warner can manage to get some more Warner owned Cannon titles in it.

I don't believe The Barbarians is with WB. Shout issued it onto DVD back in 2013 on a double bill with The Norseman. It'd be nice to see both get HD upgrades though!

Forgot about that twofer DVD they put out, might be thinking of another title like it that Warner owns from the Cannon deal they had.

Speaking of Warner owned Cannon titles, I noticed some of them on Prime video that had Warner as the provider are deleted and now replaced by MGM versions. Over the Top is the European MGM HD transfer opening with the Cannon logo, while Masters of the Universe has the newest MGM logo at the head and is 1.85 compared to the 1.78:1 Warner BD. Could it be possible that Warner's rights to the Cannon titles sans Superman IV expired and are with MGM now?

Not sure if anyone here has posted about this, but there's an MVD Blu-ray Sale at Amazon.

Where are you seeing Double Dragon for $9?

I almost picked up Blast based on its cover art, but it turns out the art is misleading.

I ended up with Memories of Me (I paid the same for the DVD and think it's an underrated little gem) and Getting Even With Dad (not a "great" movie, but it's fun and notable for being one of Macaulay Culkin's final childhood roles). Interestingly, both had free one-day shipping (at least for me).

Note: Memories of Me is slightly cheaper at HamiltonBook.com - and others may be too (not sure).

FWIW, I remember it being more of a poignant drama with comedic elements.

Was there ever a recall/replacement of this? I finally got round to watching mine, looks nice, better than the old DVD, but I will have to keep the DVD as that missing scene with the repeated section (about 39 minutes in) is kinda annoying.
